Augsburger Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 Two road bike (clincher) tires and tubes. These tires are upper middle tier Continentals not the ubber racing light weight types yet they cost more than tires I bought for my car when I was in College.
postjack Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 I hate to be a fan-boy about this, but both series of these albums have not let me down yet. I love the Kenny Drew and think the LD+3 is great as well. If I picked one, it would be KD. Get both! Thanks Al, you haven't steered me wrong yet. I have the RVG Drew and think its great, have heard the LD. We'll see what happens later today when I do some vinyl shopping.
tyrion Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 I've fallen behind in my purchases from this series. With a new tt soon to be on the way it's time to start catching up.
Aura Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Two raffle tickets at the Chicago meet on Saturday. I won a PSP case, but I don't have a PSP .
909 Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 did you try to trade with another raffle winner?
postjack Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Thanks Al, you haven't steered me wrong yet. I have the RVG Drew and think its great, have heard the LD. We'll see what happens later today when I do some vinyl shopping. Intended to say "haven't" heard the LD. I've fallen behind in my purchases from this series. With a new tt soon to be on the way it's time to start catching up. They are pricey, but to me they are the biggest no-brainer purchase I've seen. They are an investment whose musical dividends will only increase as I upgrade my rig.
swt61 Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 I didn't technically buy them, I traded for them. A pair of NAD RP18. For those not up to speed in the Ortho world, these are rebadged Fostex T50 V1 Orthodynamic headphones. The Holey Grail of Orthodynamics!
riceboy Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 SP SDS from Icarium. Can't wait to hear it with the R10s
spritzer Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 I didn't technically buy them, I traded for them. A pair of NAD RP18. For those not up to speed in the Ortho world, these are rebadged Fostex T50 V1 Orthodynamic headphones. The Holey Grail of Orthodynamics! They are actually v2's but it will be very cool to read about any comparisons between the NAD and Marc's set which is v1
Sherwood Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 I remember smeggy mentioning something about how the best housing for the SFIs was basically a wooden hockey puck... seems like he wasn't too far off.
swt61 Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 They are actually v2's but it will be very cool to read about any comparisons between the NAD and Marc's set which is v1 I just heard the same from the seller. Although he says that smeggy absolutely loves his pair, so I'm even more interested in hearing them. I remember smeggy mentioning something about how the best housing for the SFIs was basically a wooden hockey puck... seems like he wasn't too far off. These drivers do not resemble the SFI drivers though. Although they're Orthodynamic, they have a different design altogether.
GPH Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 Wow, that's a godly electrostatic rack! Looking forward to impressions.
postjack Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 I think that amp is frackin' gorgeous. We really must have a head to head comparison of the KGSS DX vs. BH, both with the OIIMK1 of course.
swt61 Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 Stunning! So is it a BH or different design?
Salt Peanuts Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 Stunning! So is it a BH or different design? I'm pretty sure that's the BH he snagged off HF.
Chekhonte Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 I bought a digital DC teslameter that measures up to 2 tesla.
tyrion Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 Thanks guys! It's bigger than I expected and so far sounds pretty darn good.
spritzer Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 Congrats on the BH and that thing is indeed huge! How do you like the powahhh?
