n_maher Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Livewires Custom IEMs Well, as soon as I call in the payment details I'll have bought them but my impressions should arrive tomorrow.
Fungi Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Oyako Don. I love that shit. Pretty morbid name too, delicious.
Augsburger Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Oyako Don. I love that shit. Sounds like a Yakuza chief or something.
Duggeh Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Ingredients to make a dock cable for the SRM-001.
Hopstretch Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Zappos' last two pairs of Gel Nimbus 9s. Why is it that whenever you find a running shoe that fits you well, they immediately redesign it so that it doesn't anymore? Well stuff you Asics, I'm stocking up!
Hopstretch Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 KSC75s arrived from Amazon today. Tried them out of an iPod at the gym and was pleasantly surprised how decent they sounded. Thanks for the sweatphones rec, guys.
laxx Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Logitech G5 that has a broken laser. =[ Waiting for RMA, actually, I'm waiting for Buy.com to approve of cross-sending so that I can still qualify for the Logitech rebate.
Smeggy Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Tentative, but one set of Yammy HP-1s and a Wharfedale Isodynamic!! All for the princely sum of $75.
riceboy Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 Sounds like a Yakuza chief or something. That Okayo Don is some good stuff.
lostonetr Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 It's my backup order when I don't think the katsudon will be good enough at the restaurant.
spritzer Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 a Wharfedale Isodynamic!! Holy crap!!!! Detailed internal pics or I'll send the Stax Mafia after you... not that I have any power over a Stax Mafia if there even was such a thing...
laxx Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 It's my backup order when I don't think the katsudon will be good enough at the restaurant. So what happens when the Oyako isn't good enough? I had a real shitty Oyako Don this past Tuesday. =[
Fungi Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 Wow that's uh... kind of bad. Chicken, onions, egg, dashi, rice. Not exactly a complex dish
tyrion Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 You bought it? No, but I'm not sure I'm giving it back.
n_maher Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 That amp on your desk causes me a bit of pain...
tyrion Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 That amp on your desk causes me a bit of pain... It is kind of sad but will work out in the end. I will use the new Beta in here until I can eventually replace it with either an Arcam Solo Mini or more likely a Headroom amp. I feel like I should support Headroom since I have the stands, thanks to Tyll. That way the new Nugget Audio Beta will be back home where it belongs.
Voltron Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 Pico DAC: Eww, does that have a mini jack? And I want pics of the GrawkSonicMono!
Voltron Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 All this talk of desktop systems -- let alone the collapse of the economy -- finally got me to pull the trigger on my dream office system: First, some Nugget Vaughn Collective cables (RCAs, super shorty bi-wire speaker cables). Next, a couple of these HeadRoom Bi-Amp MonoBlocks that will be fed by my existing HeadRoom Desktop Amp/Dac, which just received completely new amp board, modules, and volume pot: Then, a couple of these HeadRoom Speaker Stands: To hold these beautiful Harbeth HL-P3ES-2 mini-monitors: Well, I hope it will all seem worthwhile once it is set up and rocking my office. The anticipation already has me worked up pretty good.
