Woot!!! I would also recommend you try an find the second edition of the "Valve amps" book with the 845 based ESL amp.

The third edition doesn't have it? :sadcat:

Damn I was hoping to build it as my first tube amp. Just kidding.

The third only has the Daughter of the beast and not the full blown monster. It would be an interesting first project though... :P

I see they still havent moved that fucking shift key. I never ocne successfulyl hit the shift key, always the up arrow.

You're not the only one!

I just haven't been able to get along with the EEE-size keyboard. A 13.3" laptop has been small enough for me.

Yeah the first batch isn't done yet, but I'm 100% paid up now, rawr! :D Every day that passes is a day closer to electrostatic audio nirvana!

You do know that Justin and HeadAmp have difficulty releasing their high-end amps in a timely fashion, don't you? I hope you can hold out under the pressure of waiting to show off with a photo-filled look-at-me thread, unlike some fine upstanding headphone amp purchasers. ;)

How did you guys like it so far? I've seen a ton of reviews and watched loads of vids of folks using it and it seems to be great. The price was pretty good at the $449.00 with free shipping from Amazon so I went for it :).

Like I said, I'm just setting it up and not really 'using' it.

But I can tell you the screen is brilliant. It feels much faster than I anticipated, and it boots and loads quickly despite the slow disk access - though I wouldn't want to do any video editing. Touchpad blows compared to my 15.4" HP, so I bought a Logitech VX Nano to go along with this..... the receiver is tiny!

Oh I'll be fine, I have loads of patience unlike that guy at the other site (heh), especially when it comes to HeadAmp. HeadAmp is always quality worth waiting for. :)

32 hours from Shenzhen to my door, including engraving.*

(*Buns of steel or bust!)

Tell us how it it. I am thinking about pulling the trigger on one. I just wish I could find an arm band for it that fits my arm.

Well, in any other situations, I'd be happy that I bought a dry/wet shop vac. Except that I just bought it so that I can clean up the mini-flood in our basement.

Sorry about your flood, Salt, but I was just trying out the "sucks" pun re your wet vac.

First impression, it's slick. Better form factor, very thin and light, screen is bright and sharp. Other than that, it sounds like an iPod.
