aardvark baguette Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 Hmmm. I've never had any problems w/ Paypal. But I guess if they stole $500 from me I'd never use them again either.

laxx Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 Two tickets to the Bodies Exhibition in South Street Seaport.
n_maher Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 Try this link if you want to read the article that Reks linked to. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/30/nyregion/30bodies.html?scp=9&sq=bodies&st=cse and if that doesn't work try logging into the Times site with: username: mrfixit5 password: mrfixit And Reks, that does make me feel quite a bit different about the exhibit as well.
grawk Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 I saw the 60 minutes on it, and it's definitely over my line on what's ok.
laxx Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 I didn't even know (what the article is about) until after I went on Friday.
Salt Peanuts Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 1GB PC2700 RAM Prepping for a Duet? I almost grabbed one over the weekend when I was near the Guitar Center in Nashua.
tyrion Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 Prepping for a Duet? I almost grabbed one over the weekend when I was near the Guitar Center in Nashua. agile_one has a Duet so I had a chance to try it out during his mini meet. It's a very cool device.
n_maher Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 Prepping for a Duet? I almost grabbed one over the weekend when I was near the Guitar Center in Nashua. Not really, no. I'd have to sell a lot more duet cables (or better put, charge for them) to justify it.
ojnihs Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 damn i saw one of the bodies exhibits in chicago once and i'm shocked to read that NYT article. ridiculous.
Salt Peanuts Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 agile_one has a Duet so I had a chance to try it out during his mini meet. It's a very cool device. Not really, no. I'd have to sell a lot more duet cables (or better put, charge for them) to justify it. I couldn't justify it either, as I like my 840C just fine and I could put $500 to a better use around the house. I wish my SB3 would stop acting up, though.
Salt Peanuts Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 that blows. Yep. It was working just fine before the move to the house, too. Now, it periodically loses the music library database (forcing me to rescan the entire music drive/folder) and often skips during songs if I'd been using it for a while. Restarting the unit fixes the problems for a while, but they inevitably come back. I've gone through slimdevices forum for solutions, but none have worked so far. I think the issue may be a compatibility issue with my Airport Extreme, since it's the only device that has changed on my home network. Unfortunately, I don't have a spare wireless router right now to test that theory out.

jinp6301 Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 Ahhhhhh, memories. i'm assuming bad memories?
Augsburger Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 I'm assuming bad memories? Yes, sounds better than "Ahhh nightmares". GRE and GMAT all in six months because I couldn't make up my mind. Ultimately I made the right choice though the route was circuitous at best.
