Absorbine_Sr Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 But you have to be logged in over there to see the image. Which I'm not, hence: fail. Also, it'll probably screw up those that are logged in's last time visited. Yeah, trust me to expect something from HF to just work without a bullshit twist... So here it is from my host:
Dusty Chalk Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Thanks for rehosting it so that I could see it. And: noice!
Iron_Dreamer Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 like the new Avatar, Dusty! I already have visions of Stonehenge dancing in my head!
Smeggy Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 My latest acquisitions, gained through dumpster diving at work Viewsonic Hi-def tv/monitor Sony DVD player Wacom intuos 3 graphics pad Buslink external firewire HDD. I like it when work decides to toss stuff out.
luvdunhill Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 alert!! a travesty is about to occur. I will have both opamps and a chipamp in my main rig soon! Blasphemy! Nevermind they are for turntable motor controllers (one DC and one AC, yes I'm insane), this is an outrage! I can hardly hit the "buy" button at 41hz.com.

We will have to find some appropriate form of punishment...
luvdunhill Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 OMG! I'll stop bitching immediately. Well I have the same DC motor controller (that Marc was kind enough to build for me), and I have opamps in my Bugle phono stage, so I guess I'm in the same company. I cannot believe I'm starting another project The silver-lining is the fact that I get to play with 3-phase AC I really might have to get Spritzer to harvest some of his oven parts for me...

So you need some massive 40kW heater elements?? The shipping might be a bit excessive though... I'll be scrapping a rotary cutting knife soon so one large AC motor and a DC stepper motor but if you need something special I can ask the local repair guys who have a lot of strange parts.

That was a particularly bad day at the "office".
Augsburger Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 One thousand of the above, filled with West Texas Intermediate crude oil. Futures contract price@?
Augsburger Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Evidently not. The unit that I bought came pre-broken. Looks like I'll get to return it tomorrow. I didn't know Larocco Audio made AC units too.

grawk Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 window air conditioner because I live in an open floorplan 2 story house with only 1 thermostat
Salt Peanuts Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 Bunch of stuff for kittens we're adapting tomorrow.
Knuckledragger Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 i hate split keyboards like that, because i hit the "b" key with my right hand. IAWTC. I am dyslexic, and those ergo-whatzit keyboards drive me absolutely batshit. They trigger all kinds of left/right brain crossover issues that I don't normally have. I can barely type on the sodding things.
morphsci Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 Actually bought it a while ago but just received the modded unit back last Friday and just got to listen to it today. I'm becoming a hopeless Jobsian, first an iMac and now this. I feel so dirty.

I mean, fortunately there's an upgrade path, but if it's only been a day or two, return it, and wait a month (it's due July 11th).
grawk Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 if he bought it new, apple will give him a new one and the difference in price back when the new one comes out
