guzziguy Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 I've heard that Hasselblads have severly fallen in price recently, and I've heard good things about Maymia (is that the right spelling?). What do you have your eyes on? Mamiya
Contrastique Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 Yeah, Velvia 50 looks amazing. What do you use to scan in your 35mm photos? I wish I could afford getting that 9000ED right off the bat, but I can't justify such a purchase when I don't shoot MF yet. I've heard that Hasselblads have severly fallen in price recently, and I've heard good things about Maymia (is that the right spelling?). What do you have your eyes on? I use the Minolta Dualscan III atm but I'm not completely satisfied with it. Don't have the money to upgrade yet unfortunately...The 9000 is rather expensive Hasselblads have gotten a lot cheaper these days indeed. That's also the reason why I don't bother looking into the Mamiya's. I'm looking at the 500 c/m's and 503 cx or something like that. I don't know too much about all their differences, I just really want the swoppable matglass option.
grawk Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 black 5th gen 30gb ipod to use with the sonic video55 dock I got in the wootoff.
n_maher Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 black 5th gen 30gb ipod to use with the sonic video55 dock I got in the wootoff. Why not a Touch? I mean, if you're going to spend money on an Ipod why not get the one you want?
grawk Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 Why not a Touch? I mean, if you're going to spend money on an Ipod why not get the one you want? Short answer: cheap and works with the video dock Long answer: I'll wait til the bigger touch is available and cheaper.

krrm Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 Grado SR 225  . Well, they are still in New York, and I don't know when I will see them, but they are bought. Strange but a few days ago I didn't miss Grados, now I can't wait to hear them.

JBLoudG20 Posted April 2, 2008 Author Report Posted April 2, 2008 A stupid External HD. I had a scare this morning, when my main HD on my main comptuer crapped. Luckily I didn't lose much, but enough to make me paranoid of losing my musics.

Luckily I didn't lose much, but enough to make me paranoid of losing my musics. I'm with you. I keep an extra HD in my closet with a backup of all my tunes.
JBLoudG20 Posted April 2, 2008 Author Report Posted April 2, 2008 It also gave me an excuse to put my machines to more appropriate use. Small Shuttle computer -> serve music. Big 'powerful' computer -> photo editing.
Augsburger Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 I'm with you. I keep an extra HD in my closet with a backup of all my tunes. Memory is so cheap I use redundant external HD's for my tunes, two 1/2 T Seagates just in case.
grawk Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 Memory is so cheap I use redundant external HD's for my tunes, two 1/2 T Seagates just in case. What does cheap memory have to do with hard drives?
aardvark baguette Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 Once you get more than 500Gb it gets pricey having multiple backups. :'( Give me 100MB/S upload speed internet. Then I'll be a happy camper.
