JBLoudG20 Posted October 16, 2007 Author Report Posted October 16, 2007 Waiting to see fi the second half of the equation comes together. either way, I have the first half covered.. and that was the hard part. Second half is materializing...
aerius Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 I feel like building a cattle prod for some reason.
philodox Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 Wood doesn't conduct, or are we talking about using it as a handle? I'll sell you one, only $500. Its a great deal given the cost of exotic volume knobs these days. It also has been cryogenically treated and was in my condo when I called in the teleportation tweak. ERS paper is extra, but recommended.
n_maher Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 Working on getting some cables built...
aerius Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 Converted the volume control on my amp from a standard pot to a shunt mode pot. I'm not sure if it did anything.
DigiPete Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 Recabling my new pair of K701s with another mogami cable I got from Nate. Debating whether to go dual entry or not..... Re doing my Dynamite wiring with mogami vs the cheapo silverplated copper I used.
jinp6301 Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 Debating whether to go dual entry or not..... THATS WHAT SHE SAID. sorry, was watching the office

aerius Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Converted the volume control on my amp from a standard pot to a shunt mode pot. I'm not sure if it did anything. It made some marginal improvements in imaging and midrange naturalness. Small enough that I probably wouldn't notice it if someone switched it back.

Re doing my Dynamite wiring with mogami vs the cheapo silverplated copper I used. DigiPete, did you use the Naviships spc? I am putting the finishing touches on Fostex 166 full range BLH cabinets with Purpleheart and quartersawn White Oak trim. Finished last night a DIY Paradize Charlize II amp for the office, so now I will try to determine what went out on my Flying Mole CA-S3. Kind of frustrating, all solder joints are fine, the fuse looks OK, nothing seems fried. It just stopped working two weeks ago so I am without music in my main room.
hYdrociTy Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 quick 5.5 foot senn cable job coming along nicely.. still have to drill the two input pairs, loop out pair, power switch, and input selector. I am going to redo the wiring so it is all out of the way.
n_maher Posted October 26, 2007 Report Posted October 26, 2007 They're JISBOS buffers for the SOHA. Got in the first round of parts for the mini3-2. Now, if I don't have to work all weekend I might get started.
JBLoudG20 Posted October 26, 2007 Author Report Posted October 26, 2007 The pink headphones tomorrow got all the parts today.
TomB Posted October 26, 2007 Report Posted October 26, 2007 insert nice pic of Jisbos buffers here Very nice. So how do they sound? Something tells me you're not testing them with a SOHA.
Mister X Posted October 26, 2007 Report Posted October 26, 2007 Somebody needs to beat you with a common sense stick then because if you think for one second that I am gonna run a group buy for a "SOHA buffer" without testing them in a SOHA you need it worse then I already thought. (I would have thought you had learned by now to be more careful with what you say to me)
