Carl Posted June 11, 2007 Report Posted June 11, 2007 You must have listened to better cheap headphones than me then. I wouldn't have spent the last fifteen years slowly upgrading headphones if they were mostly enjoyable. But yes, price often doesn't have a lot of bearing on how enjoyable a headphone will be. That's because you keep listening to those damn non-custom IEMs.
mirumu Posted June 11, 2007 Report Posted June 11, 2007 That's because you keep listening to those damn non-custom IEMs. The IEMs I've heard sound more enjoyable to me than many of the full size headphones I've listened to. Obviously there are exceptions. Also, I only started using IEMs about six years ago, I did actually use full size ones prior to that. Besides, weren't you trying to talk me out of custom IEMs not long ago?
Carl Posted June 11, 2007 Report Posted June 11, 2007 Besides, weren't you trying to talk me out of custom IEMs not long ago? I do believe I've half jokingly suggested UE 10 Pros to you on several occations (you know, for the lulz). I can't think of any time I've said any bad words about the custom variety, appart from maybe saying you'd get better price/performance with full sized headphones. Non custom IEMs, yes, I think they're mostly shit.
