acidbasement
I'm the de facto IT guy in my office, and I need to protect our data with something cloud-based that will do an automatic backup every day at a specified time. We have three computers, less than 1 TB in total. I know there are a lot of options, and I don't know what makes each one better or worse than the others. Can someone give me a really quick "get this one, stupid"?
HiWire
We're using CrashPlan... seems to be working so far.
dsavitsk
I was using Crashplan, but they keep adding file types (such as virtual machines and backup files) they will no longer back up. I still like SpiderOak.
Knuckledragger
I'm going to investigate BackBlaze Real Soon Now(tm) because I have to back up 10ish TB of data before I move house.
Knuckledragger
Hey guys, let's thread necro! At this juncture I can say I'm quite happy with BackBlaze and plan on extending my subscription shortly. Their backup widget for MacOS has a small footprint and is reasonably configurable. The only real issue I've had is that it's impossible (as best I can determine) to back up my Time Machine images.
