JBLoudG20 Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 Where on earth will you find l3000 drivers? x2 I was trying to find a pair for a while. Quote
thrice Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 I know a "possible" place to get a pair. I need to wait and see if there are even any left to be purchased. Quote
JBLoudG20 Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 a possible place for a while was tkam. i'm not sure if he finally sold his, or not... Of course I'm not the final word on this, but I'm pretty sure he sold his. Quote
deepak Posted September 28, 2007 Author Report Posted September 28, 2007 This is kinda weird, but in getting to really know the L3000, I actually like the HD650 more than the HD580 now. Which I would have never expected in a million years Quote

deepak Posted September 28, 2007 Author Report Posted September 28, 2007 It's not that weird, you just got corrupted by the bass. There might be more to it than that. I prefer the bass extension on the HD650 (though still lacking compared to the L3000) and the midrange is not as sterile Quote
n_maher Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 The M3 probably does a great job with the 650, which isn't hurting your impression of them either. Quote

I prefer the bass extension on the HD650 (though still lacking compared to the L3000) and the midrange is not as sterile I found the detail on the HD650 more enjoyable on the HD580 or HD600. I do agree that the bass extension on the HD650 is good. Quote
909 Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 i've had many headphones come and go, but the HD650s outlasted everything until the L3000s. after listening to the L3000s almost exclusively for a month, i couldn't listen to the HD650s longer than a few songs. Quote

These are a part of my work rig, I don't use them at home. i must try the l3000's Yes! Quote

Salt Peanuts Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 tea kettle! Just giving interested parties a heads-up, is all. Quote
postjack Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 Just giving interested parties a heads-up, is all. looks like a great opportunity for some lucky fella or lady to pick up a recable L3K. "tea kettle" is my new nickname for tkam I just came up with. Its derived from "tkizzle", which made me think of "kettle", so "tea kettle". Quote

n_maher Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 Well if there's anyone left with a wallet big enough for the L3ks you might want to hop over HF. jp#'s listed his AKZip recabled pair and is entertaining offers north of $2k. That's cheaper than the last few stock pairs have gone for. Too bad it's about 4x what I could spend on a pair of headphones right now! Quote
