ronnysharma Posted October 1, 2018 Report Posted October 1, 2018 So I've had these headphones for a bit and have used them with my laptop for a while, and I notice that in quiet songs especially there'll be crackles and static noises far too often for me to like. I use these while connected to my phone, however, and I have no static issues at all. My previous headphones attached to the laptop didn't have any issues either. Do I just have a defective pair of headphones? And if so, can I do anything about it? (They're refurbished so idk if that matters or not)Rufus MapQuest UpToDate Quote

ashramvid Posted October 29, 2022 Report Posted October 29, 2022 Does it crackle if you spin the plug while it is in the laptop jack? Might just be a dirty jack on the laptop if it doesn't crackle and static when plugged into your phone. get-vidmate.com instasave Quote

swt61 Posted October 30, 2022 Report Posted October 30, 2022 FWIW, I hear more of a little screech and a quick intake of breath when I spin the plug. Don't even get me started on the "dirty jack"! 1 Quote
