deepak Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 I know I've started two threads in the digital section. Both of them weren't advertising, I was asking for help with two particular DACs. I'm trying to find one I created in February 2007 and it's not in my history of created threads (though two very old ones are) nor is it coming up on search. Is this normal?
Thelonious Monk Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 in short, if head-fi is the 3rd reich, audigon is the illuminati. threads just disappear without notice. with audiogon's recent price increases for posting ads and other happenings, i fear for the future of the site.
deepak Posted May 13, 2007 Author Report Posted May 13, 2007 Oh thanks, I usually just use the search. Really strange I didn't think either of my threads broke the rules. The only thing I can think about my most recent thread is one of the resellers of the DAC replied with some info (and it wasn't even addressing my question, it was an objective reply about repairs).
Chekhonte Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 I'm glad other people feel that way about head-fi. I've had numerous threads deleted for likening their policies to that of Tzar Nicholas II's but I also accept the gestapo of the 3rd reicht.
deepak Posted May 14, 2007 Author Report Posted May 14, 2007 I have no problem with Headfi, just don't be an idiot and all goes well. There's just too many new users, and the portable market has taken over that's why I post here more. I can't see any reason why my A-gon threads were removed Any suggests for alternative sites for high end info? Audiokarma, audiocircle?
hungrych Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 I know it's in jest, but I think comparing an overmoderated online forum with a regime that killed tens of millions of innocent people is kind of ridiculous.

Audiokarma, audiocircle? i wouldn't leave audiogon. i get lots of useful information from there. i decided to stop posting at head-fi because, in addition to getting moderated a lot, i don't really get much useful information... i probably read 10+ audio forums and they all have uses. i think audioholics, audiocircle, here and diyaudio are the most helpful.

Yeah I still intend to search Audiogon, plus it's fun looking at the virtual systems. And of course their classifieds/auctions.

deepak Posted May 20, 2007 Author Report Posted May 20, 2007 That's the gaudiest thing I've seen tonight, and I saw a few ricer cars at the movies. (28 Weeks Later gets my recommendation)

Shurado Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 The first thing that came to mind for that thing is, "hammertime"!
