humanflyz Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 Could this movie suck any more than it already does? I don't even know where to start: the shitty, cheesy dialogue, the horribly uneven pacing, under-developed villains, way too many musical numbers, I could go on and on.
909 Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 My wife and I just got home from seeing this flick. Unfortunately, we wasted out time and money on this piece of crap rip-off of a spider-man sequel. The first two were pretty decent, but this sucked shit. I heard it was bad, but it went way beyond anything I envisioned. It's like they were just out to make money because they knew people would shell out their cash to see it. Wait for the DVD!
Salt Peanuts Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 My girlfriend and I went to see it yesterday. We both though it was terrible as well. Thankfully, we went to a matinee showing so we only had to shell out an arm for the tickets.
postjack Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 wow! i hadn't read any reviews of this movie, but I'll be sure to avoid it now. i enjoyed the first two. you know, the latest x-men movie sucked as well.
n_maher Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 I didn't think it was all that bad, I'd rate it "entertaining" but certainly not great. I'd also say that based on what I'd heard going into it I had lowered my expectations.
Salt Peanuts Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 On a positive note, Hot Fuzz rulez Agreed.
deepak Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 Saw this in the IMax Saturday opening weekend, I was not too thrilled about having to drive an hour to catch it.
humanflyz Posted May 13, 2007 Author Report Posted May 13, 2007 Spiderman 3 makes X-Men 3 merely mediocre by comparison, and when I first saw X3, I thought it sucked bad. I am trying to think of some redeeming features for the movie, and the only thing that I can think of is that it was hilarious, but not in the way the movie-makers intended, because I was laughing at all the inappropriate times, so I can't even give the movie-makers credit for that. The most hiliarious part is when Peter and Gwen Stacy are at the jazz club, and you can clearly see Willem Defoe sitting in the background, when his character is supposed to be DEAD. I liked Spiderman 2 a lot, so I was majorly disappointed by this poor showing.
hungrych Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 Just go see Hot Fuzz again or for the first time if you haven't.
humanflyz Posted May 13, 2007 Author Report Posted May 13, 2007 I saw Hot Fuzz twice already, and yeah, awesome movie!
Dusty Chalk Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 Am I the only one that was completely underwhelmed by Spiderman 2? Just way too mopey, although Mary Jane in a wet shirt almost makes it worth while.

hYdrociTy Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 i cannot believe anything could sink lower than x3....
postjack Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 i cannot believe anything could sink lower than x3.... x3 rokt b/c love conquered all in the end. very un-hollywood.
ojnihs Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 Still have yet to see Spidey 3 or X3, but from everything that I've heard about both of them from friends and my younger, it's best just to skip them altogether. I'm going to wait to see Spidey 3 when it comes out on DVD.
Dusty Chalk Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60eS23UgpbU]Spiderman 3[/ame] vs. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2tViZltxc4]X3[/ame] See, X3 at least referenced [ame=http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3934651591022114445]that online video[/ame], whereas Spiderman 3 did not reference that animated gif of Spidey dancing. You know, this one.
