That very odd...  Now the platinum vaporized is just BS, you need high resistance here which I've confirmed on the HE90 as that was supposed to be gold coated...

Now they could have moved away from mylar and onto something else which has less mass at 2.4um...

The polarising voltage is 650V, so close to Stax's 580V.

I have been into Stax for about a year or so, and I already feel that Stax is ahead of it time.  I am thinking that even Sennheiser is behind, but Sennheiser is in a much better shape to keep pulling onto their ultra-flagship lines to release Orpheus He-1.  Unlike Stax, after reading much into it history, and legendary T2+Omega, I feel so sad, and not sure if Stax will continue on being the same ? I know the latest T8000 was just “cold”

*found more info on the 009*.

Stax have never said what the diaphragm is but they might have moved away from mylar.  Plenty of new materials to play with these days...

They did say in general that

New high polymer ultra-thin film material called the super engineering plastics

Stax over Senn for sure, despite the gold ceramic electrodes

Stax SRM-T2 is a useless legendary tech. No one heard of and is lost in time.

Out of all Staxs Amps only the SRM-717 rules as king. And this is done without any help from modders and such. No tubes, no mods or anything like that for 717 to be the best. Because of this 717 is king

Seemed spammy so I fixed the problem.

This has always confused me because in KG's original KGSS Headwize article he said that he wanted the best amplification for the then new SR-007 but didn't want to pay the money for an SRM-717 - which implies that the 717 preceded the KGSS.

Well they aren't identical as Stax did fuck with it a little bit but if you look at the schematic it is easy to see where it came from.  There is also a much bigger part of this story which involves some people appropriating this circuit as their own that I'm not going into.
