spritzer Posted December 22, 2017 Author Report Posted December 22, 2017 That very odd... Now the platinum vaporized is just BS, you need high resistance here which I've confirmed on the HE90 as that was supposed to be gold coated... Now they could have moved away from mylar and onto something else which has less mass at 2.4um...

spritzer Posted December 26, 2017 Author Report Posted December 26, 2017 Who wants to bet they are using 800V mosfets for the output?
Whitigir Posted March 13, 2018 Report Posted March 13, 2018 (edited) I have been into Stax for about a year or so, and I already feel that Stax is ahead of it time. I am thinking that even Sennheiser is behind, but Sennheiser is in a much better shape to keep pulling onto their ultra-flagship lines to release Orpheus He-1. Unlike Stax, after reading much into it history, and legendary T2+Omega, I feel so sad, and not sure if Stax will continue on being the same ? I know the latest T8000 was just “cold” *found more info on the 009*. It is awesome Edited March 13, 2018 by Whitigir
spritzer Posted March 13, 2018 Author Report Posted March 13, 2018 Stax have never said what the diaphragm is but they might have moved away from mylar. Plenty of new materials to play with these days...

TapuR Posted March 30, 2018 Report Posted March 30, 2018 Stax over Senn for sure, despite the gold ceramic electrodes On 3/13/2018 at 3:46 PM, Whitigir said: I have been into Stax for about a year or so, and I already feel that Stax is ahead of it time. Kung Posted March 31, 2018 Report Posted March 31, 2018 yup,T8000 is another 727 like amp, still haven't enough power.
Emeralda Kasim Posted April 25, 2018 Report Posted April 25, 2018 The best Stax amp is SRM-717. Nothing is better. Its the perfect amp that dose not need any mods to make it sound amazing!
SeaWolf Posted April 25, 2018 Report Posted April 25, 2018 (edited) I assume the SRM-T2 isn't being counted because of its pension for self destructing? Edited April 25, 2018 by SeaWolf
Whitigir Posted April 25, 2018 Report Posted April 25, 2018 (edited) Lol! I take that T2 travelled back in time to save Stax from bankruptcy. No longer existed in this timeline and on Edited April 25, 2018 by Whitigir
Emeralda Kasim Posted April 25, 2018 Report Posted April 25, 2018 Stax SRM-T2 is a useless legendary tech. No one heard of and is lost in time. Out of all Staxs Amps only the SRM-717 rules as king. And this is done without any help from modders and such. No tubes, no mods or anything like that for 717 to be the best. Because of this 717 is king
spritzer Posted April 25, 2018 Author Report Posted April 25, 2018 No mods except the 717 is actually a licensed KGSS...
Pars Posted April 26, 2018 Report Posted April 26, 2018 (edited) Who is this Esmeralda fucktard? Person doesn't know shit..., but rather opinionated. Good combo. Did head-fi crash again? Edited April 26, 2018 by Pars

JimL Posted April 26, 2018 Report Posted April 26, 2018 This has always confused me because in KG's original KGSS Headwize article he said that he wanted the best amplification for the then new SR-007 but didn't want to pay the money for an SRM-717 - which implies that the 717 preceded the KGSS.
spritzer Posted April 26, 2018 Author Report Posted April 26, 2018 Well they aren't identical as Stax did fuck with it a little bit but if you look at the schematic it is easy to see where it came from. There is also a much bigger part of this story which involves some people appropriating this circuit as their own that I'm not going into.
