webontheweb
Hi all, First post here! Looking for a little advice. I'm in the market for two sets of headphones, one for while I'm on my motorcycle, and one for while I'm at the gym. I don't have a crazy budget, and I guess I'd like to keep each pair under the 80 dollar-ish range. That cash limit isn't SUPER strict, so I'll move around a little. I understand because of my other desires I'll be sacrificing some sound quality/build quality. I'll be connecting to a latest model iPhone, so bluetooth wireless needed for both sets. Audio controls on the set are a must (Not necessarily a mic though, if its a really good set.) Another major consideration: My ears are weird shaped. Almost no buds stay inside, including the ones with the little "in ear" curves that are supposed to hold them in. I'll need something that fully wraps around the inside of the top of my ear. For Workout: I need something relatively loud and love me some bass. Noise cancelling is nice, and it needs to be sweat-proof if I'm taking to the gym. Must have those wrap arounds on top of ear for stability. I have a strong preference for kind that have a relatively hard connection between the buds and stays close to the back of your neck instead of being a loose wire that hangs down back and dangles. For motorcycle: Must be LOUD AS HELL, and have noise cancelling. Again, wrap around the top of ear for stability. The biggest issue here is probably something loud and bass-y enough to hear over the Harley reliably, secondly not fall off my head. I'll list out a couple pairs I've tried: Currently use these wired ones on the bike. For a cheap pair of in-ear buds the bass is actually pretty decent, and they are LOUD enough to hear over the bike well. Only qualms is that they are wired and mine are getting old. Also, magically the only in-ear buds that kinda stay in my ear. https://www.amazon.com/Skullcandy-Ear-Buds-Mic3-Phones/dp/B00C2YUNAE/ref=sr_1_73?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1487789953&sr=1-73&keywords=skullcandy+earbuds+bass Current workout 'phones I've tried. They are both EH to "okay". Decently loud, but crappy bass and constant bluetooth problems. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A0PTUGE/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00V7N3V78/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Tried these, total trash. Wont stay in ear, VERY quiet. Eh bass. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YA8LFPW/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Alright! I'm picky i know! It's just that you can't try buds on before you buy 99% of the time. Any suggestions are appreciated!
