mypasswordis Posted May 25, 2017 Report Posted May 25, 2017 (edited) I believe Sony also said the color of their cables made a difference in sound.... I converted my Sony ECR500 and Koss ESPs as soon as I got them, so don't know what they are like driven single-ended https://www.head-fi.org/f/threads/sony-electrets.157539/page-4#post-3597945 Edited May 25, 2017 by mypasswordis Quote

spritzer Posted May 26, 2017 Report Posted May 26, 2017 Sony were nuts with all kinds of fringe pseudo science shit. Semi-conductive stator frames, odd cable dielectric, pentagonal diaphragms and crap like that. The ECR-600 I had was 100% push pull though, it was just electret with super high ratio for some unknown reason. As for a discussion between arnaud, Jazz and astroglide.. wouldn't see that one as the latter two fucktards are firmly on my ignore list. Reflections are far more likely from the headphone structure as the D/S gap is so small that there can't be any meaningful reflections. 1 Quote

On a much more important note, what are all you uber-audiophiles gonna do with this breaking news.....? https://integrate-expo.com/audio-broadcast/goodbye-old-friend-will-missed/ Myself, I am substantially less than devestated........
