Knuckledragger
Quote Turntable: Uturn Orbit w/built in preamp. Heresy maybe to have a built in PA but this one sounds pretty nice, gotta say. Belt driven. Very simple. Needle/cartridge: cheapy ortofon OM moving magnet cart w Pro S needle. I had a Bronze 2M but f$&ked up the needle. Big oops. Equalizers (dedicated per channel): Klark Teknik EQP-KT Parametric program equalizer. Knockoff of Pultec’s EQP. All tube circuitry. 12AX7 and 12AU7 tubes. Usually found in studio recording chains, they work very nicely for playback too. Amp: Gemtune BL-02 el34-b w/ 1x Sylvania 5U4G (analogous to a WE 422A), 2x Telefunken EL34-TK, and 2x no-name 6H9Cs. Output power- 10W. Speakers: Audioengine P4s. 4 ohm nominal impedance. 10-125 watts per channel. Great match for the low wattage amplifier. Sounds very nice. Sub: Audioengine S8. Not much to say here. Sounds good, uses an on-board amp.

Knuckledragger
Quote This is my current system: Mcintosh C2200 tube preamp, 2x MC1000 power amp, MCD 201 CD player, MPI4 audio scope (something nice to look at), Cambridge Audio CXN DAC, CEC SP930 turntable with Denon DL 107 stylus, Revox B77 reel to reel tape machine and B&W nautilus 801 speakers Bi-wired with Kimber Camble. After 35 years of being interested in Hifi, this is my endgame. I used to have ACR BK202 speakers wich I replaced with my current ones in December. The main difference for me are those big subs wich harmonize pretty well with the tubes. It was hard to get affordable Mcintosh gear because of the high import taxes I had to pay to get them to Germany but I don’t regret it any second.  In the parlance of our times, BRUH. So from the toe-in angle of those 801s and the distance that they are apart - I would guess the listening position is about 6-7 feet away (in a room that is not much bigger). One thing I know from being an 802 owner for 20+ years - They need to Breath!.. anyway - nice rig...

Frequency response: 100 Hz. - 15 Khz at full rated power (+/- 1db max. - ref. 1 Khz). For full frequency response (20 Hz. to 20 Khz.) - see our 1627-1642 Series. Â A single one of those circuits in a plywood case should run you about $400. And be used in a garage system at best. 4
