As an owner of the CD3000, Qualia, and R10...I'm very curious about the new Z1R.  I hope my old gears still rule them all!  Seriously though, it is welcoming to see that Sony is getting serious again.

Above pic looks like a prop out of a Batman movie. Never have I seen as stark a contrast between the aesthetics of a headphone off vs. on someone's head.

That's because the design was meant to maximise performance and not necessarily to pander to the dubious tastes of the headphone fashionistas and style police......

They look ugly - but then I use Stax 404s, so I really shouldn't criticise anyone else's aesthetic.
