Guss2 Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 I noticed on Headamps website that the new version of the Aristaeus includes numerous improvements in parts and build quality. Has anyone here heard a V1 and V2, as to make any comparison. What parts have been changed and such? Justin or maybe the denizen electrostatic gurus. Thanks, Gary. Quote
purk Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 (edited) Where did you hear that? My unit is SN# 18 and likely the latest of them all. Edited June 27, 2016 by purk Quote
Guss2 Posted June 27, 2016 Author Report Posted June 27, 2016 The website Purk. Not sure how long it's been up but it's pretty specific about the timetable. http://www.headamp.com/electrostat_amps/index.htm Quote
GeorgeP Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 that is pretty ancient now. That said, no clue re two versions, just the current one. Quote
justin Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 the improvements were made after the first batch which was up to #11 i think this included fixes to the circuit board - some parts that had to be added by hand in the first version, done underneath the board, a better panel ventilation pattern, multifilament sleeving on the cable, circuit boards cleaned by machine, gold plated tube sockets instead of nickel, and that's about it Quote
