dcpoor Posted November 7, 2017 Report Posted November 7, 2017 because they really scratch the gall bladder itch
spritzer Posted November 7, 2017 Author Report Posted November 7, 2017 10 hours ago, dcpoor said: Their dynalo mk2 is tempting for the price. lol https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10.1-c.w4004-2626060199.28.362e04f1hau2JY&id=548593598961 how does the power supply in this thing look? Funny but they are using the boards which don't really work. It was the first draft I did off the multi amp and way too many issues with that one. I also love the small shit that just cracks me up, see the XLR/RCA switch...how they extended the solder terminals to make it a PCB switch? Also the XLR sockets aren't pcb mount but who cares, just bridge it all with solder... My biggest issue would be the unshielded transformer but for this price...sheesh.
MASantos Posted November 8, 2017 Report Posted November 8, 2017 Is that price correct? 21euro/24USD? The enclosure alone is a steal at that price!
dcpoor Posted November 8, 2017 Report Posted November 8, 2017 plus shipping, not sure if there's any other fees.
spritzer Posted November 9, 2017 Author Report Posted November 9, 2017 IF you use a deputy service then there are fees on top of that.
purk Posted November 15, 2017 Report Posted November 15, 2017 Those cool kids on headfi would still buy the Liquid Carbon over this amp. SAD! 1
wink Posted November 16, 2017 Report Posted November 16, 2017 Yep, they're so cool that they're numb to what good sounds like.....
Pars Posted January 25, 2018 Report Posted January 25, 2018 Well, looks like the cool kids can still buy some sort of liquid carbon... https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-liquid-carbon-x-sdac-dac-amp?utm_source=Iterable&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=ccu_Massdrop_Liquid_Carbon_X_SDAC_DAC%2FAmp&referer=K6U6H7&mode=guest_open&iterableCampaignId=233692&iterableTemplateId=333094
spritzer Posted January 25, 2018 Author Report Posted January 25, 2018 Ohhh goody...more shit for me to buy and take apart.
skullguise Posted January 25, 2018 Report Posted January 25, 2018 Design aside, it's pretty scary that build quality is likely better on that then the real Cavalli amps!
TapuR Posted March 30, 2018 Report Posted March 30, 2018 Specifically came for checking Cavalli given the following Liquid Carbon had, now that its been off since 2016. Looks like its not very popular in this forum atleast for good reasons.
