spritzer Posted February 19, 2017 Author Report Posted February 19, 2017 I just love his endless obsession with fucking over his customers. Make a small change, yay!! a new version which makes the old one worth even less.
johnwmclean Posted February 19, 2017 Report Posted February 19, 2017 I wonder what 'the final edition, of the final edition refined finally' will sound like?

DefQon Posted February 20, 2017 Report Posted February 20, 2017 Then it will be worth $2k max after a minor face lift to the case once v2 comes out.

RSA use very thin gauge metal and just happen to photograph well. I agree with you completely that the engraving is definitely way over done. That thing thing runs way hotter than even the Dynahi. Perhaps Cavalli is attempting to emulate its name, ie Liquid Carbon Perhaps the link below is where Cavalli gets his raw product from..... https://phys.org/news/2017-02-scientists-uncover-huge-reservoir-carbon.html 5 hours ago, johnwmclean said: I wonder what 'the final edition, of the final edition refined finally' will sound like? Sadly, there seems to be no final edition of Cavalli products as in him going out of production, period. We can only dream....... Edited February 20, 2017 by wink
purk Posted February 20, 2017 Report Posted February 20, 2017 (edited) He is facing some stiff completion these days. The new Sony TA-ZH1ES is crazy good at the asking price. It can sound a little soft at time but over all it is a very solid buy at the asking price. Plus you can save some cash because u don't need a Any front source plus it even come with a nice preamp. Not to mention Doug's and Justin's offerings. Edited February 20, 2017 by purk

JimL Posted February 22, 2017 Report Posted February 22, 2017 Stolen from one of my favorite pieces of snark when Wilson released version 53 or whatever of one of his speakers - "maybe this time he'll get it right. " Especially enjoyed it seeing as how I have a speaker that was designed over 60 years ago and only had one minor modification - the Quad electrostatic. PJ Walker got it right the first time.
guzziguy Posted February 22, 2017 Report Posted February 22, 2017 Sure you can. But it's still a turd.
kevin gilmore Posted February 22, 2017 Report Posted February 22, 2017 as far as I know you have to gold plate the turd. then you can polish the shit out of it.

spritzer Posted February 23, 2017 Author Report Posted February 23, 2017 That thing is all class. I wonder what something like this would cost today with the crazy gold prices.
Dreadhead Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 You can't polish a turd Nope but you can dip it in glitter
DefQon Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 How much did it cost back then? And who owns it now?
