wink Posted June 10, 2016 Report Posted June 10, 2016 How can I like Dave, when I don't even know him...? Quote
Craig Sawyers Posted June 10, 2016 Report Posted June 10, 2016 Isn't that the TV channel that shows old episodes? Quote

Grahame Posted June 10, 2016 Report Posted June 10, 2016 The Brit's tend to be a bit more formal. David, please, if its alright with you. 1 Quote

Audiojunkie Posted June 12, 2016 Report Posted June 12, 2016 ^ You're kidding? Not that I'm a DAVE fan, but the Yggy was totally meh to my ears. Quote
wink Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 Perhaps plastic surgery is indicated here...... Otoplasy for the win.... Cochlear implant is a valid alternative..... Quote
stax fart Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 I didn't heard Dave, but Dangerous Music Convert kills Yggdrasil, the Convert sounds huge, warm and beautiful, like a master tape without noise. Bryston BDP-2 and Convert-2 are my dream source components. Really, there isn't much (if anything) to improve at that level of quality. Quote
Torpedo Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 What the fuck is a master tape these days? 1 Quote
spritzer Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 Bryston and quality? You surely are joking as Bryston is a special level of crap and bad engineering. Quote

At least you're honest. And you've reached your limit (of ability to hear). Really, if you want to state your opinion based on conjecture, feck off. Quote
stax fart Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 The only Bryston product I heard was the BDP-2, and was used as transport to the Convert via AES/EBU. I didn't heard their amplifiers, DAC, or other products and I have no clue about design, so can't argue with you guys on that. I only know that what I heard was glorius, maybe is because of the Convert internal clock and sounds 99% as good with a regular computer, but I don't know, only heard the two units at the same time. wink Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 Repear three times before retiring at night ( libations are optional) YGGDRASIL iz KING, YGGDRASIL iz EMPEROR, YGGDRASIL iz da GREATEST. Quote

IMHO, Bryston is not best but a least not crap speaking of sound quality. So, what's the problem? (serious) Quote
spritzer Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 Horrible analog stages is just the beginning. Quote
Dreadhead Posted June 20, 2016 Report Posted June 20, 2016 What makes them horrible? I have heard and liked some Bryston stuff and I have seen well respected people use their stuff, so I took an interest just looked up the measurements on the Bryston BDA-1 and they are very good so your statement seems to me to be incorrect. You may not care for their choices but "horrible" output stages don't give 0.0007% distortion. Quote
