An astute observation.     :)

I tried that with a pair of Grado's and it was line-ball........

I bought a pair of the flows this week after a first listen, got them home to do war with the 009s, does suck directly compared, but not by much. A different tonal balance, very pleasing overall - I think they’ll be a great addition to the system.

A lot of folks love them.  If the e-stats are anything like the test pair I tried, only a fool would buy them.  I had to crank them up hard and it was like having a radio on your desk if you were next to the guy listening to them....major shouty leakage.

No doubt!  Best modern wagon ever.

A buddy of mine has one with a 3.6L Kenne Bell supercharger.  Calls it the BadWagon.  Can't make that up...

verry 'spensive it is cause it come with respectful opinion and humongous street cred.

It worthy of estimation and emendation to heed opinion of neophytes and iggerant posters becuz it doth give indication which alternatives to ignore and discount.

it are perspicuous and perspicacious indication that veracity resideth elsewhere.

Gotta say, don't know about the open-back ones but the Aeons are pretty darn good. I didn't know a closed-back headphone could sound so not-closed back.
