Fitz Posted March 29, 2016 Report Posted March 29, 2016 Since the old thread seems to be gone, here's the new one to post what games you're playing! I'm still on my Final Fantasy XIV binge, because there's so goddamn much still for me to do in it despite the countless hours I've logged playing it. When I'm not busy just being the prettiest miqo'te in the game, that is. 2
Dreadhead Posted March 29, 2016 Report Posted March 29, 2016 Still mostly car games here. Turned "pro" in Dirt Rally. Would love to do some Project Cars racing again. At some point I will get the head tracking system.
MexicanDragon Posted March 29, 2016 Report Posted March 29, 2016 We should play PCars tonight. 10:30 Eastern. Dew eet. **BRENT**
Dreadhead Posted March 29, 2016 Report Posted March 29, 2016 I went to be really early yesterday as I've been sick. If I'm up and available I'd be in for an hour or so of racing at 1030. Ordered a TrackIR5 with Pro Clip, should be here this weekend. 2
TMoney Posted March 29, 2016 Report Posted March 29, 2016 I'm glad I cancelled my Oculus pre-order, but its annoying to keep hearing over and over again that PCars is fantastic on it. 1
Dreadhead Posted March 29, 2016 Report Posted March 29, 2016 I'm sure it is but I'd say you still made the right choice. For my use case it still makes little sense. In 3 years when I don't have to be listening every second to hear if one of my kids is trying to kill themselves then maybe. 2

The thing will break if you look at it wrong. 8 hours ago, Fitz said: Since the old thread seems to be gone, here's the new one to post what games you're playing! Dreadhead Posted March 29, 2016 Report Posted March 29, 2016 (edited) Yeah I've heard lots of negative stuff. I'll 3D print a clip if it breaks and finally put my printer to good used. Edited March 29, 2016 by Dreadhead

Grahame Posted March 30, 2016 Report Posted March 30, 2016 I intend to be there, although a may be a little late, because, life.
Dreadhead Posted March 30, 2016 Report Posted March 30, 2016 That was a blast guys. Hope you keep the party rolling. 3
Dreadhead Posted March 30, 2016 Report Posted March 30, 2016 Should we set up a regular evening? Tuesday night throw down? Wheelspin Wednesday? Etc...
Dreadhead Posted March 30, 2016 Report Posted March 30, 2016 ^ At least last night we were racing with realistic driving aids and realistic damage so that was much less prevalent than in the past which is a good thing in my book. 1
VPI Posted March 30, 2016 Report Posted March 30, 2016 Are you trying to tell me it was not "driving by bouncing of walls and other cars"? Â I am not sure I can believe that. 2
Dreadhead Posted March 30, 2016 Report Posted March 30, 2016 ^ It really wasn't (unless caused by driver error). I even had a few entirely clean races, I also had ones where I messed up and ripped off a wheel 1

TMoney Posted March 30, 2016 Report Posted March 30, 2016 Grahame actually completed more than one lap while missing a wheel. Talk about persistence. 3
Fitz Posted March 30, 2016 Author Report Posted March 30, 2016 I imagine it more just sheer determination towards finding a way to somehow ram someone else off the track into catastrophic damage too.
MexicanDragon Posted March 30, 2016 Report Posted March 30, 2016 I didn't realize how bad off he was and didn't expect to lap him. He was following the racing line in the middle of a turn as I was coming off a medium high speed stretch. Good thing I had about ten seconds on Chris and $ or I may have lost that one. **BRENT**
Dreadhead Posted March 30, 2016 Report Posted March 30, 2016 Yeah I was going to point out that when you have that kind of damage you are supposed to get off the racing line but then I remembered who I would be speaking to and left it alone. 5
Dusty Chalk Posted March 31, 2016 Report Posted March 31, 2016 Unholy carp -- when Colin lost a wheel, he could barely get a few yards -- Graham lapped?!?!?
Fitz Posted March 31, 2016 Author Report Posted March 31, 2016 No he got lapped, but he was still hogging the racing line as if he wasn't limping along. 1
