JoaMat Posted March 19, 2017 Report Posted March 19, 2017 I think a delay of 50 - 60 seconds is a good idea.
G600 Posted March 19, 2017 Report Posted March 19, 2017 Copied. It's going to complicate my thing a bit.

G600 Posted March 20, 2017 Report Posted March 20, 2017 Is there any way to delay a transformer secondary ? I wanted to build the GG with a single transformer...
JoaMat Posted March 20, 2017 Report Posted March 20, 2017 If you use GRHV supplies with “switch” – there are all kinds of supplies now days – it’s fairly easy to arrange a delay, even with a flashing led during pre-heat and steady in operation mode.
jose Posted March 20, 2017 Report Posted March 20, 2017 I used on my carbon an arduino and a solid-state rele. I'm doing the same thing on this PSU.

jose Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 Has anyone used the 450 volt configuration? I´m waiting for a Mouser´s BO and I can´t do nothing
G600 Posted April 8, 2017 Report Posted April 8, 2017 (edited) I'm building it with +-450V supplies. Still a bit afraid of the possible short between B- connection and the feedback trace, like it happened to insanity's Carbon. Edited April 8, 2017 by G600 precisions
G600 Posted April 8, 2017 Report Posted April 8, 2017 (edited) Not built, still waiting for the custom transformer, and a bigger issue is the lack of a drill press and the related skills. Still being a very young padawan in DIY. Need some more weeks before completion. Edited April 8, 2017 by G600
Whitigir Posted April 8, 2017 Report Posted April 8, 2017 Anyone has spare boards laying around ? Very interesting in it, please PM me

TS300VA PRI: 230V > 2x360V @350mA > 18-0-18V @600mA And: TS50VA PRI: 230V SEC: > 6,3V @8A I don´t think that you have problems again if you use the "top" board (tube side) for put the conector.
Whitigir Posted April 8, 2017 Report Posted April 8, 2017 (edited) Thanks Soren for the boards! Something fun and exciting in the future Edited April 9, 2017 by Whitigir 1

G600 Posted April 10, 2017 Report Posted April 10, 2017 (edited) For sure ! I use the RENY screws I have left from the T2, with spring washers over standard washers. Outstanding stuff from Chemis. The steel screw you can see just holds the board in place. Edited April 10, 2017 by G600
Whitigir Posted April 10, 2017 Report Posted April 10, 2017 Nice going, I can not wait to hear your impressions between GG and T2
G600 Posted April 12, 2017 Report Posted April 12, 2017 (edited) Received the transformer today. Didn't imagine such a big boy. But perfectly built. Changing plans for casing, unless it won't fit. Despite some mistakes and need of adjustment (make the tubes symmetrical for sure), you get the idea : Edited April 12, 2017 by G600
Whitigir Posted April 12, 2017 Report Posted April 12, 2017 Woaaaa, that is an elephant in the room ! Not Sumr ?

Very interesting, what it is dimensions and weight ...
G600 Posted April 13, 2017 Report Posted April 13, 2017 140*70 cm, 5 Kg roughly And not Sumr, but British one-man company with stellar products.
jose Posted April 13, 2017 Report Posted April 13, 2017 (edited) Nice work G600 I can not see the tag of your trafo but I have one question: EL34 uses 6.3vol @ 1.5A, if you use four EL34= 6.3vol @ 6A. Your trafo only have 4.5A current so I understand that your transformer goes very low in amperage. Edit: Sorry, it´s 2x 6.3volt @ 4.5A Edited April 13, 2017 by jose
G600 Posted April 16, 2017 Report Posted April 16, 2017 GRLV @+-15V GRHV @ +459 and +464V Waiting for a few more passive before starting to wire the Thing.
