purk Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 I don't get the idea of the Poly either. I rather buy a FiiO X5 Gen III and use it as a stand alone DAP or as a transport to the MOJO. Quote
blessingx Posted September 28, 2019 Report Posted September 28, 2019 So interestingly I see the Mojo just dropped significantly to $399. Temped at that price as I have a new work use. Anyone still using one? Quote
VPI Posted September 28, 2019 Report Posted September 28, 2019 I have one on my desk now for listening to the various JH Audios. I think it is worthwhile for $400. 1 Quote
CD44hi Posted September 28, 2019 Report Posted September 28, 2019 Mojo is still good. Also a while back there was a firmware update that significantly improved the SQ of DSD playback on the Mojo/Poly. 1 Quote
purk Posted October 31, 2019 Report Posted October 31, 2019 Why not get a used Sony NW-ZX300 instead? Quote

The Mojo is likely to sound better but the ZX300 is a really good all in one DAP. It has BT receiver so u can stream music from your smart phone to it. Quote
HiWire Posted January 19, 2022 Report Posted January 19, 2022 (edited) The Chord Mojo was officially discontinued last summer. There is a bit of speculation about its successor... Chord has a tease pic with a date of January 31: https://chordelectronics.co.uk/coming-soon I hope they design it to run without a battery or resolve whatever battery issues were plaguing the Mojo. The Chord Mojo 2 is now available and the reviews are rolling out. I think I'll look into one seriously once they've eliminated the Micro-USB jack (for Poly compatibility). At some point, they'll probably change it to another USB-C for a Poly 2. An interesting post from the designer, Rob Watts, regarding its crossfeed implementation: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/chord-mojo-2-thread-___-product-released-january-31-2022-starting-on-page-95-of-thread.885405/post-16800704 This overview is decent: Edited February 6, 2022 by HiWire 1 Quote
