shellylh Posted August 31, 2015 Report Posted August 31, 2015 (edited) Looking for a very thin/slim and simple wallet to carry in my back or front pocket. Any suggestions? Does anyone know anything about these? http://www.all-ett.com/ Edited August 31, 2015 by shellylh
aardvark baguette Posted August 31, 2015 Report Posted August 31, 2015 i am experimenting with money clips. Don't know if that would work for you or not.my current favorite is a simple binder clip. I can hold six cards and about 20 bills with a "No. 50" clip. Much stronger grip than other clips I've tried.https://db.tt/ixEX6alW there is also the flexy carbon fiber clip. http://www.amazon.com/Flexy-Carbon-Fiber-Money-Clip/dp/B00H07J7HS this guy has reviewed a bunch of wallets and things, which is where i found the carbon fiber thing above.https://www.youtube.com/user/montelli101/videos
Dreadhead Posted August 31, 2015 Report Posted August 31, 2015 I like my Dopp Regatta 88. Works great for me and is cheap.
acidbasement Posted August 31, 2015 Report Posted August 31, 2015 (edited) Someone may have to take away my High Roller status, but I just use a thick hair elastic double-wrapped around my most essential cards and cash. Fits great in my front pocket.Downside is that cash is visible when I'm carrying it, though I could alter that pretty easily.(This card is depleted to within a few Canadian cents of zero, in case any random HC lurker is thinking of doing something silly with the CC number). blessingx Posted August 31, 2015 Report Posted August 31, 2015 (edited) Shelly, I received a gift "parachute" (nylon) wallet I believe from that site and liked it quite a bit. Lasted for far longer than most I've had. Eventually I went smaller with one from http://www.amagpoc.com (there are lots of similar out there). Suspect I'd prefer the former for rear pocket (where thinner matters) and latter for front (seems like s second, smaller phone in the other front pocket). Edited August 31, 2015 by blessingx 1
chiguy Posted August 31, 2015 Report Posted August 31, 2015 I just purchased one of these: http://www.superiortitanium.com/mini-VIPER-Titanium-Money-Clip.html
Voltron Posted August 31, 2015 Report Posted August 31, 2015 Machine-era.com makes my front pocket wallet and I'm very happy not having a big wallet in my back pocket. Cards and license are protected and I can strap cash or business cards front or back as well 1
acidbasement Posted August 31, 2015 Report Posted August 31, 2015 I think I want everything www.machine-era.com sells now. 1
dcpoor Posted August 31, 2015 Report Posted August 31, 2015 I got a Crabby wallet a few months back when it was on sale for ~$11http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PYIDVLIIt's been pretty decent.
shellylh Posted August 31, 2015 Author Report Posted August 31, 2015 (edited) I often stick little pieces of paper or other random things in my wallet so I need it to be more standard. So no money clips, rubber bands, or ex machine-era stuff. I do like the machine-era bottle opener though. Edited August 31, 2015 by shellylh
Hopstretch Posted September 1, 2015 Report Posted September 1, 2015 I think I want everything www.machine-era.com sells now.Ditto. Damn it, Al.
Voltron Posted September 1, 2015 Report Posted September 1, 2015 Gene started all of this by giving me the Godwin (whale) bottle opener. I have bought many an item and gifted several whales myself since then. 1
jvlgato Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 I have a Slimfold original wallet. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/s/ref=is_s_ss_i_0_8?k=slimfold+wallet&sprefix=slimfoldI like that it's extremely thin, and I hardly notice it in my back pocket. Also, the material is waterproof, which is nice. I've only had it a few months, but it seems pretty durable. The only thing I don't like is that the material itself is not very attractive. It's kind of plain and blah. You don't feel warm and fuzzy handling it, like with a good quality leather. But strictly from a utilitarian point of view, it's good.
postjack Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 I use the large bifold wallet from saddleback leather wait nevermind it is enormous and thick. great wallet though.
Dusty Chalk Posted September 3, 2015 Report Posted September 3, 2015 (edited) Yeah, my solution was baggier pants with bigger pockets. It was also suggested to me to get a purse. (I'd also want to carry things like my meds in it.)Which one, Jack, this one? Edited September 3, 2015 by Dusty Chalk
CarlSeibert Posted September 3, 2015 Report Posted September 3, 2015 I have a Bellroy that I like a lot. Leather, pretty standard affair, but quite thin and well made. http://bellroy.com/wallets?filter=everyday
gtp Posted September 3, 2015 Report Posted September 3, 2015 (edited) Looking for a very thin/slim and simple wallet to carry in my back or front pocket. Any suggestions? Does anyone know anything about these? http://www.all-ett.com/I have the all-ett nylon inside-id wallet. It's the slimmest wallet I've had. Durable too. I'm very happy with it and would buy another/recommend. Edited September 3, 2015 by gtp 1
Absorbine_Sr Posted September 4, 2015 Report Posted September 4, 2015 Machine-era.com makes my front pocket wallet and I'm very happy not having a big wallet in my back pocket. Cards and license are protected and I can strap cash or business cards front or back as well I saw Al's when he was here for DLD and ordered one immediately. I love it and carry it in my back pocket. It's compact, but its heft lets me know it is there. And I believe Gene also gave me a whale opener. The only opener I have that can get through waxed bombers without muss or fuss.
shellylh Posted September 4, 2015 Author Report Posted September 4, 2015 Doesn't it hurt to carry this in your back pocket?
Absorbine_Sr Posted September 4, 2015 Report Posted September 4, 2015 Not at all. I carry it there in jeans, shorts, you name it. It's never given me an issue. Of course, I'm not lacking for padding back there. 2
grawk Posted September 4, 2015 Report Posted September 4, 2015 I use a basics wallet I got on Kickstarter, but it's fraying already. I understand the new ones fix that.
mikeymad Posted September 4, 2015 Report Posted September 4, 2015 late to the game - but been happy with my EZGO for the last couple years - http://www.ezgowallet.com/ And in green I never loose it ...

He did give me one -- in Monee at that nearby motel as a matter of fact -- and I have paid it forward a few times, including you and L'il Bro, I believe. Love you regardless of brain cell loss. As for the wallet, I have never even considered putting it in my back pocket. I really like wearing it up front because my back/spine feels better and because it is about as safe as possible. 2
cetoole Posted September 5, 2015 Report Posted September 5, 2015 Still using a big skinny trifold, which is a few years old now. Nothing special looking but it's pretty compact. 1

I do have some memory problems, but I will never forget who my true brothers are. Love you man. 1
