In rgrds to caps GB, it seems to have settled around 175 caps in total. I have negotiated that we get the same price as the +400 pieces quote.

Please update the sheet with country, postal code and date for confirmation of the amount: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1GWDWwLfsIDtwn1HB-x76lS6WyWwLd5lwsORFKiUuuEQ/edit#gid=2024111922

I'll calculate estimated shipping based on location information.

Thanks

Is the caps GB still going?

I can't edit the google sheet.

I can't edit the google sheet.

The amounts has been locked ... pm if you wanna change, please

I'll do a separate thread on the Caps GB in order not to make too much confusion.

Thanks all for your prompt responses and payments.

I sent PCBnet all the latest version Gerber files yesterday for final confirmation of quotes. I will place the order soon as I receive the confirmation which I expect in a day or two.

I will keep you posted.

I have built one of the Fat PS boards , kgsshvpssicfetsinglenewrightfat

gerbers dated Tuesday, ‎July ‎28, ‎2015, ‏‎2:38:28 PM

and want to report that it works...

408vdc at anything above 310vac input, bias is also good.

I have found that zeners tend to run at a higher voltage than rated when warm... plus there's the 5% spec. Did you hand-pick them to be as close to the called-for voltage as possible? Do you find that the bias gets up to >600V after warming up?

power supply board known working as expected from kerry's and my prototypes

for the 400v version, input AC needs to be at least 310vac

which would make 350vac necessary for the 450v version

so with clearance i would pick

360 vac under load for the 400v version (500v caps sufficient) and

390 vac under load for the 450v version (550v or more caps sufficient)

Not using  this board for a while, if at all..

But of the 5 amps here, I  have not seen any over 600v  when warm.

but will check again, I would think 5% would be fine.  550v-610v

easy enough to change one for 20v lower or higher

also how do I know which of my 7 or so Digital Multimeters is right?

Wouldn't even 10% be safe for the phones?
