VPI Posted August 9, 2015 Author Report Posted August 9, 2015 Car is detailed and Yeti, camera and chair are packed for the trip to VAG Fair in PA tomorrow. Hope to come back with tons of VAG car pics. 4
VPI Posted August 10, 2015 Author Report Posted August 10, 2015 It would appear that a whole lot of douche bags seems to gravitate to the VW brand. This things was like beer douches x 100. Still ended up being a decent day. 2
cetoole Posted August 13, 2015 Report Posted August 13, 2015 Since Jeff is always complaining that not enough people post pictures, here are a few dirty old German cars from meeting with a friend for dinner tonight. 3
G600 Posted August 13, 2015 Report Posted August 13, 2015 Tomorrow I have an appointment for a used Lotus Elise S2...Maybe I'll sign.
VPI Posted August 13, 2015 Author Report Posted August 13, 2015 That pic is great Colin. Do not see much of the little G-Wagen. Your car looks bored, I do not think you are driving it hard enough. 1
n_maher Posted August 13, 2015 Report Posted August 13, 2015 I'm with Jeff - one, I love the little G-Wagens and two, I'm still ready and willing to adopt the neglected M3. 1
Dreadhead Posted August 15, 2015 Report Posted August 15, 2015 Parked behind a group B prepared Quattro.... Awesome 3
Dreadhead Posted August 15, 2015 Report Posted August 15, 2015 (edited) Red Bull Global Rallycross was awesome:That was a lot of fun! Lots of waiting around for the races but when they were on they were manic! Edited August 15, 2015 by Dreadhead 3
VPI Posted August 15, 2015 Author Report Posted August 15, 2015 It was awesome, those little sons of bitches are fast.A few of my shots. 1
VPI Posted August 16, 2015 Author Report Posted August 16, 2015 If anyone is on the fence about getting a foam cannon for the car wash process, I highly recommend it. They are pretty fun and work really well. About 5 minutes after spray down. Really takes that layer of dust, pollen, etc. of well before resorting to lay sponge on paint.
VPI Posted August 16, 2015 Author Report Posted August 16, 2015 I have the AR Blue Clean AR383 with their pro cannon. Once you get everything figured out it makes a nice thick foam that sticks well and sweeps away the first layer of crap.
swt61 Posted August 16, 2015 Report Posted August 16, 2015 I thought a foam cannon was a euphemism for something else. 1
VPI Posted August 16, 2015 Author Report Posted August 16, 2015 Unfortunately my local C&C is dropping off on number and quality of attendees. I was hoping it would take off but too much Sunday morning C&C competition around here I think. 2
n_maher Posted August 16, 2015 Report Posted August 16, 2015 Are you referring to the Caterham Super 7 Dan, or did I miss the Lotus? 1
VPI Posted August 16, 2015 Author Report Posted August 16, 2015 I think he is referring to the Caterham as a Lotus as they are the continuation of the original Lotus H. 3
grawk Posted August 17, 2015 Report Posted August 17, 2015 (edited) The caterham. I don't keep up with cars enough to realize that wasn't just a classic lotus. Still cool. Edited August 17, 2015 by grawk 1
VPI Posted August 17, 2015 Author Report Posted August 17, 2015 Trying to decide if getting a full Modesta ceramic coat on the car and wheels in worth the money. Easier cleaning and better looks seem like a nice add on, but at the cost of a new exhaust or something along those lines I am not sure if it is worth it.Anyone have any experience with the high end seals/coats?
Leve Posted August 23, 2015 Report Posted August 23, 2015 Some work done on my headsHSWelding up 'o' ring grooves ?
