Dreadhead Posted May 20, 2017 Report Posted May 20, 2017 Took almost two hours and an orbital buffer to remove cone residue from the rocker panels (or at least the visible parts) but my car is looking pretty good and not battle worn. Of course I'll probably fuck it up in 2 weeks at the next round but at least the baseline will be better. Washed the other cars too. Love the relatively cheap Meguiar's stuff gives such a nice shine for basically no work and their scratch stuff is great. 5
Dreadhead Posted May 24, 2017 Report Posted May 24, 2017 you know the answer then... Indeed. Indeed Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
grawk Posted May 24, 2017 Report Posted May 24, 2017 it's a sign you have douchey neighbors, probably.
HemiSam Posted May 29, 2017 Report Posted May 29, 2017 Looks like Volkswagen is bringing the Golf R spec back to the US for the 2018 model year. No price point or real timing offered... https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/auto/2018-volkswagen-golf/preview/ HS
swt61 Posted May 30, 2017 Report Posted May 30, 2017 The new Audi RSTT definitely has my interest. Love the tweaked styling. 0-60 in 3.6 seconds, from a small 5 cylinder. The Jaguar F type SVR, with it's 575 ponies is only .1 second quicker. And love the diamond stitched interior! 2
HemiSam Posted May 30, 2017 Report Posted May 30, 2017 Audi's interiors are impeccable. The one thing I struggle with them over is how much they charge for add'l power. They go crazy differentiating the sporty version from the base version when it comes to the pocket book... HS 1
VPI Posted May 30, 2017 Author Report Posted May 30, 2017 I have a friend with the old TTrs. That 5 cylinder is the real deal. I have contemplated picking up a RS3 when they hit the market. 3
Grahame Posted May 30, 2017 Report Posted May 30, 2017 Drive Tribe has a nice set of comparo vids that include the TT RS ... 2

Dreadhead Posted May 30, 2017 Report Posted May 30, 2017 Ford is doing a 2018 Focus RS special edition with a LSD. If that doesn't knock it out of class in the BS class it will be a total ringer. Dammit I was committed to the ST for 2 more seasons. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk 4
HemiSam Posted May 31, 2017 Report Posted May 31, 2017 Be strong, DH! I have a similar dilemma. Love my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT. AWD with the 6.4L HEMI and the 8-speed trans with paddles and big Brembos. Maybe 11K miles. They're coming out with the Hellcat (supercharged) version of the Jeep called the Trackhawk...ugh. Must......be......strong HS 4

Dreadhead Posted June 3, 2017 Report Posted June 3, 2017 Stickered up. Car gained 5hp. Edit: I wanted to do "MWIA Racing: Sleeping with the sponsor" but the kids ask too many darn questions. 7

Dreadhead Posted June 4, 2017 Report Posted June 4, 2017 Won my class (again only 3 cars) by about a second and a half. Not a good drive and was barely in the top half on PAX. Still it was fun to go fast. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk 4

Porsche PDK and BMW DCT cars are quite a bit faster than their manual counterparts. Edited June 5, 2017 by EdipisReks1
Grahame Posted June 5, 2017 Report Posted June 5, 2017 Quicker or Faster? δv/δt or Vmax? And yet the quickest car was the least fun. I'm glad they took your advice and decided not to make such a worthless comparison /s 2

HemiSam Posted June 17, 2017 Report Posted June 17, 2017 Looks like the new Honda Civic Type R is headed stateside. There's a convenient vid in the photo gallery for the less than motivated. https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/auto/2017-honda-civic-type-r-preview/ One thing Honda can do is build motors. Really impressive mills they make IMO. Not a big fan of the looks, but that's just me....old school. HS
Torpedo Posted June 18, 2017 Report Posted June 18, 2017 Honda can build motors, yet not for Formula 1 1
