Dreadhead
I assumed that 6'5 would fit. Maybe not.
grawk
I think only the first gen ones will come close, the inside gets smaller with every new gen.
VPI
I thought it looked fairly tiny on the inside when I saw it at Katie's, but it seems even the small ones today have room in the front seats for most people. Can't hurt to try one out.
Dreadhead
I was thinking it would be really fun to autocross one (once and a while) and my wife likes the idea of a little sports car with a ragtop (which I do too). We'd probably only drive it once or twice a week but those would be fun drives. The reviews have been very favorable in my quick review and it's cheap. I'm hoping that I fit. The GTI is far more practical for us and would meet many of the needs too but this (for us) starts falling into the "splurge but not insane" realm. Sort of came about after discussing getting a XC90 and realizing we could get a Miata and a Subaru Outback for the total cost (of course not insurance wise). VPI
Sounds good. Where are we autocrossing this weekend?
Dreadhead
Sounds good. Where are we autocrossing this weekend? I took one of the local SCCA courses in the Legacy GT and loved it: http://www.wdcr-scca.org We buying tickets to that Rallycross? I'd probably only go on Saturday. VPI
Yeah, I should be in town on that Saturday. Looks like they only sell 2 day passes.
Dreadhead
Yeah, I should be in town on that Saturday. Looks like they only sell 2 day passes. No that's Ticket Master/The organizer being a PITA. After some clicking around I found the Saturday only: http://www.ticketmaster.com/red-bull-global-rallycross-washington-district-of-columbia-08-15-2015/event/15004EBD96272C4D
VPI
Maybe we should make our way out to Manassas to practice our Autocross skills. http://www.autobahnspeed.com/manassas-va-indoor-go-karts/
Dreadhead
I have been to this one and it was a great time: http://www.allsportsgp.com/
VPI
Yeah that place is going out of business now. Manassas seems to be the place now.
Dreadhead
OK well I'd be up for either. On Miata it looks like we'd need to get an automatic which I'm far less excited about but Meaghan is unwilling to learn stick.
VPI
Just buy a matching pair, one in manual and one in auto. Problem solved. #LivintheBallerLife
MexicanDragon
Jeff is wise. You get an ND with a proper tranny and get her an NA with an auto for when she has to do whatever one does in one of those atrocities. **BRENT**
Dreadhead
I'm just hoping they fixed the paddle shift on the new one but it's not a dual clutch auto as best I can tell so I'm guessing it will be the same as the past one. Autocross is a waste of time with that. I guess it was a waste of time anyway so maybe I'd still do it.
VPI
I guess they needed one of those giant wings on the front also. Edited July 30, 2015 by VPI

VPI
I need to choose a nighttime shot from tonight for HRE to go with some of the daytime shots they want for the website. Which of these is preferable?
Grahame
Not #2, reflection of overhead lamp / dark line / on hood , zone number distracting. Then #1 as light segments give greater sense of activity than the background continuous streams in #3, IMHO.
