Dreadhead Posted June 14, 2015 Report Posted June 14, 2015 That seems like a seriously dangerous road to ride on. So many blind corners, blind hill tops, narrow lanes and people wandering across lanes as they take the sharp corners. I would never get on a bike on that road. I was thinking of a different road. I don't think I have ever ridden on that one. Still don't hit me when I am riding.
VPI Posted June 16, 2015 Author Report Posted June 16, 2015 The high end cars and coffee has been building up anticipation for a special car this weekend. Everyone was thinking an FF or some other new supercar. Instead it is the new Miata. I was not even aware there was a new Miata.
MexicanDragon Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 Is this the cars and coffee in the Castro? **BRENT**
VPI Posted June 16, 2015 Author Report Posted June 16, 2015 I think it is a pretty great looking car. I will definitely check it out, I just didn't realize Miatas were still around.
Absorbine_Sr Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 I think it is a pretty great looking car. I will definitely check it out, I just didn't realize Miatas were still around. Top of my list for next car. I loved my '08, and this is 200 lbs lighter, with much done to improve handling, center of gravity etc. 1
TMoney Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 Yeah, it looks like an amazing car. I would have considered it myself, but it is just too darn small to be your "only" car. In a two car household though, the MX-5 would be a fantastic car to pair with a more practical SUV or crossover.
VPI Posted June 16, 2015 Author Report Posted June 16, 2015 Finally, on the third attempt, I was able to get my carbon-ceramic tint done and remedy the fish bowl effect on my car. Couldn't go that dark because stupid laws. Before After 5
n_maher Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 Nice! I want to tiny the GTI as sell to help deal with the black interior, hot as balls in the summer issue.
VPI Posted June 16, 2015 Author Report Posted June 16, 2015 Yeah, it has been so hot here and I am hoping this, plus the windshield cover coming tomorrow, make a big difference.
swt61 Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 Yeah, it has been so hot here and I am hoping this, plus the windshield cover coming tomorrow, make a big difference. It makes a huge difference down here, so I'm assuming you'll feel a nice change.
Grahame Posted June 17, 2015 Report Posted June 17, 2015 And now you can get directions from The Terminator ...http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2015/06/14/arnold-schwarzenegger-waze-terminator-voice-app-terminator-genisys/71124570/
VPI Posted June 19, 2015 Author Report Posted June 19, 2015 Looking like Katie's might have an appearance from Ford with the new GT tomorrow? 1
VPI Posted June 19, 2015 Author Report Posted June 19, 2015 Think I might head up next month for this event. https://www.motorsportreg.com/events/twilight-pocono-north-course-raceway-audi-club-na-nj-364711#.VYRsjUZGz5M 1
TMoney Posted June 19, 2015 Report Posted June 19, 2015 Looks awesome. I'm all signed up for the stage 1 driving class at Infineon next month.
n_maher Posted June 20, 2015 Report Posted June 20, 2015 Think I might head up next month for this event. https://www.motorsportreg.com/events/twilight-pocono-north-course-raceway-audi-club-na-nj-364711#.VYRsjUZGz5M That looks like a ton of fun and extraordinarily reasonably priced.
VPI Posted June 20, 2015 Author Report Posted June 20, 2015 Yeah, local Audi Car Club of America has a two day course at VIR for $450 that might be more worthwhile. 1
n_maher Posted June 20, 2015 Report Posted June 20, 2015 And VIR. I love that place. Any idea which course they run?
VPI Posted June 20, 2015 Author Report Posted June 20, 2015 No, packets do not come out until 5 weeks prior and their website gives very little detail. It appears to be only 8 25 minute track sessions across the two days.
VPI Posted June 20, 2015 Author Report Posted June 20, 2015 Another great Cars & Coffee. Freakin '71 Hemi Cuda. Ended up being my guitar guy's accountant. Got to go for a bit of a ride in this one. 2
VPI Posted June 20, 2015 Author Report Posted June 20, 2015 A couple of Wagons for Chris. This thing was a fully wicked raced-prep CTS-V Wagon. Left through the windy roads following this guy. Almost rear ended him on the long sweeping highway ramp when he missed a gear or something. 3
VPI Posted June 20, 2015 Author Report Posted June 20, 2015 Weird ass Camaro. The number of goofy Camaros with LEDs around the headlights and shit is nuts. 2
