Thanks Shelly. I am a big fan of the blue as well. I need to decide if I am going to have them take off the Quattro stickers off the rear doors. I think they are goofy but they say it is a historical reference so it is "cool". Also not digging the stereo interface as I have become accustomed to the Pioneer deck with touch screen and all the great graphics.

I would personally remove them before they are baked in but I'm not one for historical sentiment so take that with a grain of salt.

At least those decals are significantly smaller than the ones they put on some 911s - those can go too. I don't a flying fuck what kind of historical/retro reference they have, them decals make my favorite car kinda ugly.

I am seeing a trend here, but I am still thinking about it.  It is not something I have seen on other Audis so I kind of like that.  I also paid $85 dollars for the stickers according to my window sticker, so I assume they are made of sterling silver or something valuable.

Not to push you but you'll regret not eating the $85 if you decide to remove them in the future and they're already burnt in from the heat and the underneath paint is slightly darker because of lack of exposure to the sun/elements  >:D

I could take or leave the stickers.  As someone who had older Audi's that had the original Quattro door stickers I kind of like them, as a rapidly-more-middle-aged-white-dude I now prefer stealth to shoutiness.

Yeah, if I take them off it will be soon.

It drives alright.  Brakes are a bit mushy but I took it out to Georgetown Pike for a quick handling tour and found it to be good, maybe not as sharp as I would have expected.  That road is fantastic if it was not for all the 3 Series BMWs putting along riding their brakes through the hills and corners.

Still trying to get used to all the tech as the touch screen on my Pioneer head unit kind of spoiled me.

A few pics from Great Falls Park.  (Why is no one else posting any pictures, thread needs more pictures)

VW Mafia, are all of the VAG-Com things the same or is there specific ones I should be looking for?

I have managed to burn through a quarter tank of gas in 65 miles for a whopping 12.1 MPG so far.  I need to drive my full size SUV as a fuel economy car at this point.

the real ross-tech vcds cables are what you need.  There are several iterations of it tho, but you definitely want a real one.

Go to Ross tech, plug in your VIN and it'll tell you what you need. If it happens to be the same as mine, you're welcome to borrow it.

Bummer, mine is the Micro CAN.  Still, if there are even a few things that it does for you they can make all the difference in terms of enjoying the car and making it your own.  Makes the $250 pretty easy to justify...

Yeah I am not sure if making my windows roll up from the key is worth $350.  I will have to look into it to see if there is anything else it does I would want.

Much cleaner, Jeff. But you might need some interior / additional stickers.

Technically inaccurate (see above), but why let that get in the way of a good sticker
