TMoney Posted May 6, 2015 Report Posted May 6, 2015 Because dammit, we need a current NBA thread. It looks like there is going to be a pair of awesome games tonight. I'm really looking forward to seeing how LeBron and Kyrie respond to a little adversity. It is crazy that every singe one of the home teams in round two has already dropped a game at home. If the Cavs go down two games I'm officially worried for them. As for Houston, if they can't beat LAC without CP3 in the lineup then they are toast. Thank god for having a DVR! should be some outstanding games.

naamanf Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 What is this NBA you speak of and where is their brewery? 1
TMoney Posted May 7, 2015 Author Report Posted May 7, 2015 (edited) Drinking too much beer at NBA games may be hazardous. This guy was on his way for a beer refill until that happened. Edited May 7, 2015 by TMoney 1
TMoney Posted May 7, 2015 Author Report Posted May 7, 2015 Fun games last night. The Rockets absolutely could not afford to lose another game to the CP3-less Clips and they pulled through at the end. I think we are going to see them make an effort to get Dwight on to Blake more. They just can't let they guy continue to tear them up. Outside of Dwight, the best defense on Blake is letting him get tired Highlight of the night of course was Shaq going down. http://www.nba.com/video/channels/tnt_overtime/2015/05/06/20150506-inside-shaq-hits-the-deck.nba/
jvlgato Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 Too depressed about Kevin Love's arm bar shoulder injury to enjoy anything.
TMoney Posted May 7, 2015 Author Report Posted May 7, 2015 Now I'm depressed about John Wall. 5 broken bones in his hand? Ouch! Poor Washington sports fans.
TMoney Posted May 9, 2015 Author Report Posted May 9, 2015 (edited) D. Rose! Congrats, Chicago fans! Edited May 9, 2015 by TMoney
atothex Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 Man I really can't get excited about anything happening in the east...
TMoney Posted May 11, 2015 Author Report Posted May 11, 2015 Oh man, you are crazy! The East has had three straight games decided by buzzer beating shots! I realize Washington has no chance of winning it all without John Wall so that takes a bit of the luster out of Hawks-Wiz, but this Chicago-Cleveland series feels like it really could go either way. I bet the winner of game 5 takes both series. -- As for me, I'm a nervous wreck ahead of GSW-Memphis game 4. If we (GSW) drop this one, the dream will start really looking dim. If we tie it up at 2-2 I still love our chances.
Aura Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 I hated everything about CLE/CHI yesterday. Both teams sucked. Chicago REALLY sucked in the 4th. The ref's sucked. Thibs sucked on setting up their defense for that last shot. It was a shit ending to a shit game and I wished I hadn't watched at all. 1
atothex Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 Hahaha that's so harsh. I wouldn't go that far, but I can imagine the top eastern team getting swept out of the finals and averaging 80.
TMoney Posted May 12, 2015 Author Report Posted May 12, 2015 Steve Kerr! Thank you for saving our season! Putting Andrew Bogut on Tony Allen was a stroke of genius.

Aura Posted May 12, 2015 Report Posted May 12, 2015 Srsly. Let's not watch together from our own places. [emoji35] At this rate it'll come down to whichever team commits the lesser of in-game disasters and can roster a few healthy guys the rest of the way. Lol.
jvlgato Posted May 13, 2015 Report Posted May 13, 2015 Actually a pretty good game for once. Or maybe I am influenced by the outcome.
TMoney Posted May 14, 2015 Author Report Posted May 14, 2015 You guys may want to check out the "Basketball Breakdown" youtube channel. Coach Nick does a great job doing video breakdowns showing why the pivotal moments of games went the way they went. I highly recommend his videos. For example, check out this video on why the "Andrew Bogut on Tony Allen" strategy worked so well. Spoiler: Tony's lack of awareness helped just as much as the strategy. https://youtu.be/qLEFW3WOuLI
TMoney Posted May 19, 2015 Author Report Posted May 19, 2015 Draft Lottery tonight, followed by WCF Game one. Predictions: Warriors in 5, Hawks in 7.
TMoney Posted May 22, 2015 Author Report Posted May 22, 2015 WCF games have been terrific. Curry and Harden are both as advertised and are straight ballin'. Crazy that the game last night came down to a single possession.
atothex Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 Unrelated, but I probably would never place Harden over Westbrook on any kind of all-nba or all-star team. Seems weird to me, since Westbrook has always been better.
TMoney Posted May 23, 2015 Author Report Posted May 23, 2015 Goodbye, Atlanta Hawks. We hardly knew ye. Down 0-2 with Korver out and Damarre not at full strength? Yeah... Looks like LeBron will be ready and waiting for my Warriors should we get past Houston.
TMoney Posted May 29, 2015 Author Report Posted May 29, 2015 Warriors over Cavs in 6 (though I'm hoping for 5).
atothex Posted May 31, 2015 Report Posted May 31, 2015 I think 5 is more likely. Finish in Oakland as opposed to Cleveland.
