NotoriousBIG_PJ Posted March 28, 2007 Author Report Posted March 28, 2007 Its a plastic hammond case. The glue doesn't have to be too sticky, but I fear something like white glue wouldn't bond well and end up flaking off over time. Biggie.
grawk Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 gorilla glue works great for that kind of thing, really
NotoriousBIG_PJ Posted March 28, 2007 Author Report Posted March 28, 2007 Ok, but I'm hoping to find something even cheaper then gorilla glue hehe. I read that it expands a lot? Biggie.
Dusty Chalk Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 Its a plastic hammond case. To what, to itself? Then yeah -- super glue.
Augsburger Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 I use hot glue from a hobby store. It is super strong, dries fast and unlike superglue allows you a do over if you mess up. Just hit it with a soldering iron and its liquid again. I use it to hold speaker posts in place when bolting wont fit. I also use it with Eichman ICs and thin strands of silver wire. The hotglue on the tail end of the plug serves as stress relief and protects the solder joint when you switch back the ICs between equipment.
