A missile was launched off the California coast last night. The problem is: no one knows who launched it. It seems that NOTAMs are published with GMT time, so the active time for that notice would be 09 Nov 12:00 2010 PST till 09 Nov 17:00 2010 PST and it was created 08 Nov 12:52 2010 PST. If they were trying to put a notice out for the launch then they misjudged their effective time by a day or so
Nebby Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 It was probably an iPhone. Was it the Skynet app that did it?
Dusty Chalk Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 No, it was probably attached to a rocket.
Knuckledragger Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 The NOTAM irregularity was pointed out repeatedly on this massive Reddit thread. I wasn't trying to reach any tinfoil hat conclusion, I just liked the MILSPEC ALLCAPS speech of the NOTAM. Ray should write his manuals like that.
jinp6301 Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 pretty interesting talk/animation (but not really new) about education.

Dusty Chalk Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 We just got a fax (alas, no, it was not alcoholic) from Envirofax asking us to fax them our unwanted faxes. I lollered.
bhjazz Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 I really want to get into this sport. I tried it once a year or so back. It was at a corporate afternoon at the Seattle Family Fun Center. Not a difficult trio of climbs, but I was hooked. I'm sure I used every muscle in my body, and was surprised how much more thinking it took once you factor in your reach and where all your extremeties are. Totally cool. Go try it!

Is someone posing a couple of human-sized dolls in various human-ish activities and taking pictures? That seems fairly tame. I suspect I'm missing something. And there's a whole forum dedicated to this?
