jinp6301 Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 My favorite part of that back and forth is I would have assumed you understood, despite our vague suggestions otherwise, we do not welcome constructive criticism. I don't come downstairs and tell you how to send text messages, log onto Facebook and look out of the window.
Knuckledragger Posted June 27, 2010 Report Posted June 27, 2010 "The nominal per-capita GDP of Ghana is $671. At 23 million in pop. it would cost roughly 14 billion to buy the country...and nationalize its futbol team, which happens to be the only way the U.S. team will EVER make it past the second round of world cup."
mypasswordis Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 Flopping is not what we want to teach young soccer players - Sports - Daily Review
jinp6301 Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 Meh, its not like the American players wouldnt have done something similar
mypasswordis Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 Meh, its not like the American players wouldnt have done something similar That's the point. It's become ingrained as a way of playing a soccer, a strategy to win. But it sucks, it's lame, no one wants to watch that, etc.
jinp6301 Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 did they? have they? They do in the NBA occasionally. Not saying that flopping is fair in anyway, but the reward for flopping "well" is extremely high and the risk is too low to not at least attempt it, especially in knockout rounds of the WC. With FIFA being assholes and not wanting to use video replays to decide fouls, I dont really see it going away anytime soon :\
