TMoney Posted November 2, 2017 Report Posted November 2, 2017 Congrats to Houston and to their fans. A hard fought series and a well deserved championship.
Hopstretch Posted November 2, 2017 Report Posted November 2, 2017 And this sports journalist is krrrrrunk tonight!(Article from June 2014)
Voltron Posted October 13, 2018 Report Posted October 13, 2018 My favorite moment of the post season so far http://www.espn.com/video/clip/_/id/24970210 Priceless! 2 1
Wmcmanus Posted October 13, 2018 Author Report Posted October 13, 2018 Thought you would like that! Go Brewers!!! ...and now for something you won't like, but Shelly will, Go Astros!!! 1
rfan8312 Posted October 29, 2018 Report Posted October 29, 2018 Haha great way to end it with Machado on the ground with a strike out.Sent from my LG-LS998 using Tapatalk 1
TMoney Posted January 22, 2019 Report Posted January 22, 2019 Screw baseball and their moronic secret ballot Hall of Fame voting. Clemens and Bonds not getting voted in year after year is a disgrace. The way baseball as a sport has handled the PED era is asinine beyond belief. Judge, jury and executioner indeed. *END RANT*

I think the Nats were my quaternary team in the NL, after Braves, Cubs, Giants, but now that they've won, I guess I'll just care even less. (Mainly, I liked their hats, and seeming, I like their chanting fan base.) Sorry for your loss, Shelly! 1
TMoney Posted November 19, 2019 Report Posted November 19, 2019 https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/if-the-astros-stole-signs-how-much-did-it-help-them/ Super curious to find out what, if anything, comes of this Astros scandal. Would the MLB go so far as to invalidate their championship?
TMoney Posted January 13, 2020 Report Posted January 13, 2020 Not stripping the title from the Astros? That seems unfair to the rest of the teams. They got off easy?
Aura Posted January 13, 2020 Report Posted January 13, 2020 supposedly taubman's punishment effectively equals a permanent ban but the same should have been applied to other folks or they should have taken many more picks away. NBA took away like 5+ years of picks from minnesota for something way less damaging. feels closer to a slap on the wrist. not surprised. 2
recstar24 Posted January 13, 2020 Report Posted January 13, 2020 Update from at least a few minutes ago - Astros fire their GM and manager (I mean makes sense, why pay them or have them on staff for a whole year of suspension) 2
TMoney Posted January 26, 2021 Report Posted January 26, 2021 There are a lot of reason why baseball has lost me as a fan over the years but this one has always stuck out. The baseball hall of fame is such a joke. 2
n_maher Posted January 27, 2021 Report Posted January 27, 2021 ^^^ What a sad joke. The baseball writers association is such a bunch of fools. 1
TMoney Posted October 16, 2021 Report Posted October 16, 2021 https://www.bloomberg.com/news/features/2021-10-11/mlb-rule-changes-atlantic-league-tests-tweaks-meant-to-save-baseball Fun article. The MLB knows it’s game is losing fans (too many strike outs, too few balls in play, not enough stolen bases, too many mound visits), but they are trying to fix it with experiments in the minor leagues. Examples: automated balls and strikes (thank god!), larger bases to make steals easier, moving the pitching mound back a foot or two to give batters more reaction time.
robm321 Posted October 17, 2021 Report Posted October 17, 2021 I don't like any of those ideas except for automated balls and strikes. That one is overdue. I think baseball should be left alone. It's a slow sport which clashes with the hyper ADD of modern times, but its slow grind is part of what makes it special. Of course, I'm old, so I'm not the demographic they care about.

Voltron Posted October 18, 2021 Report Posted October 18, 2021 Braves walk off against the Dodgers...again! 1
