morphsci Posted September 20, 2014 Report Posted September 20, 2014 So Karen is running the Chicago Marathon for St. Judes on October 12, 2014. This is the sixth straight year she has run it and she is now older than I was when we met. As parents of a child who had some issues at a young age (but thankfully not anything that required a visit to St. Judes) this is a charity that is very close to our hearts. I am a little late in posting this year but if you can donate, that would be great, but well wishes are also very welcome. You can donate at the following link: http://fundraising.stjude.org/site/TR/Heroes/Heroes?px=2199704&pg=personal&fr_id=19570 Thanks for the support. Quote
skullguise Posted September 21, 2014 Report Posted September 21, 2014 In as well. Good luck and thanks to Karen! Quote
Voltron Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 Wonder Woman x 6! Awesome record, Karen. Have fun and run safe! Quote
HeadphoneAddict Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 I don't think she wears the costume anymore ( Didn't stop me from donating, but WW was fun... Quote
jvlgato Posted September 24, 2014 Report Posted September 24, 2014 Sweet! I just bumped her over a grand! Way to go WW! Quote
morphsci Posted September 27, 2014 Author Report Posted September 27, 2014 You guys rock. She still wears parts of the costume but she is still Wonder Woman even without the costume. Quote
morphsci Posted October 9, 2014 Author Report Posted October 9, 2014 Only three more days! It will be good to get out of town and not have to sit in an open field. Quote
Absorbine_Sr Posted October 11, 2014 Report Posted October 11, 2014 Almost forgot this. In. Go Wonder Woman! Quote
Augsburger Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 Finished! 4:45:54 You or Karen? More importantly, what were you drinking while Karen was running? Quote
morphsci Posted October 13, 2014 Author Report Posted October 13, 2014 If it was me you would have to add about 20 hours to the time. Today I had a Goose Island Matilda with lunch and nothing else as I was driving home. Quote
HeadphoneAddict Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 That's pretty good, I'd be gasping for air (flopping around like a fish out of water) after 100 yards with 5L of oxygen on board. We're all proud of her! Quote
