Dusty Chalk Posted January 18, 2021 Report Posted January 18, 2021 "So I heard you say that no-one ever wrote you a love song, Well let me be the one to prove you wrong..." (Ridiculously pretty song found while going through this list.). Sounds like something @Knuckledraggerwould spin. 1
Torpedo Posted January 21, 2021 Report Posted January 21, 2021 Looks like Brent now sings with the Scary Pockets 3
blessingx Posted February 5, 2021 Report Posted February 5, 2021 Cause we were in the Santa Cruz mountains today and someone was raving about the barely alive KPIG which lead to a Spotify playlist they created and the reference up North... 1
Craig Sawyers Posted February 14, 2021 Report Posted February 14, 2021 Jimi Hendrix set at the 1970 Isle of Wight. Guinness Book record for the largest festival ever with 700,000. Only a few weeks before he died at the age of 27. In full, completely amazing flight here. Funnily enough I've walked across the area that that iconic festival was held, now totally rural with a few cows and sheep. Absolutely no sign at all that it was ever anything other. 2 1
Craig Sawyers Posted February 14, 2021 Report Posted February 14, 2021 Found the pic. This is looking down the bank towards the site of the festival And this is from the same viewpoint fifty-one years ago 3
Craig Sawyers Posted February 14, 2021 Report Posted February 14, 2021 The 1970 festival resulted to serious problems with the inhabitants. There are only 120,000 (at the time) living on the Isle of Wight, so 700,000 stoned, drunk and rowdy festival goes were really a bit of a problem. The festival has been revived in recent years, but is much smaller - 50,000 or so, and it is much more tightly organised and managed. Also, locals have now entered into the entrepreneur spirit and put their fridge and freezer outdoor and sell bottled water, beer and ice cream to festival goers. 1
HemiSam Posted February 14, 2021 Report Posted February 14, 2021 I like how they shot this video... HS
Hopstretch Posted February 18, 2021 Author Report Posted February 18, 2021 (edited) Loved their first album, which was very 80s/90s pop. This one seems to have jumped forward 20 years or so. Pastiche? They do it well and I enjoy it so who cares ... Edited February 18, 2021 by Hopstretch 1
Torpedo Posted February 18, 2021 Report Posted February 18, 2021 It's not a song but a whole set of a few good ones 1
Dusty Chalk Posted February 23, 2021 Report Posted February 23, 2021 Neat! Thanks for sharing. Unrelated: my girl Alyson (bassist extraordinaire) covered one of the more wack Mr. Bungle tunes (sounds very Secret Chiefs 3): 3

TMoney Posted March 4, 2021 Report Posted March 4, 2021 Strangest camera cuts I've ever seen here. I wouldn't say these guys have aged like fine wine, but they are still fun to listen to. 1
