Hopstretch Posted June 21, 2020 Author Report Posted June 21, 2020 (edited) ^^^ I love her a lot. New Built To Spill cover album is also worth a listen. Edited June 21, 2020 by Hopstretch
Hopstretch Posted June 26, 2020 Author Report Posted June 26, 2020 Who looks that good at 76, for fuck's sake? 2
guzziguy Posted June 26, 2020 Report Posted June 26, 2020 Especially when that's about 125 Rockstar years. 2
mikeymad Posted June 26, 2020 Report Posted June 26, 2020 Ha --- Corrected Audio "When I proudly showed my partner Kamilah "Two Suns in the Sunset" on YouTube on Sunday morning, I freaked out because the acoustic guitar entry was a good 5db down in level. This may seem like a small thing to you, but it’s not to me. Call me obsessive-compulsive, but I can’t watch it like that. So for anyone who’s interested, this is a re-post with that small glitch corrected." 5
Hopstretch Posted June 27, 2020 Author Report Posted June 27, 2020 (edited) Holy shit, new Doves! Only been 10 years. Edited June 27, 2020 by Hopstretch 1
Voltron Posted June 27, 2020 Report Posted June 27, 2020 I thought I would try out Doves and Phoebe Bridgers because I was unfamiliar. Another recommended artist with a name that caught my attention was Japanese Breakfast. When I clicked on them, the most streamed song was called Road Head, so I had to give it a listen. Pretty good, along with the other songs I've played so far
Dusty Chalk Posted June 27, 2020 Report Posted June 27, 2020 Yeah, I discovered Japanese Breakfast just recently. Went apeshit on her music for a while. Good stuff. Me: still listening to the new Hum.
HiWire Posted June 28, 2020 Report Posted June 28, 2020 (edited) Dancin' – Chris Isaak Totally forgot about the David Lynch connection: http://somethingelsereviews.com/2015/01/10/james-wilsey-chris-isaak-guitarist/ I miss watching the Chris Isaak Show late at night. Edited June 29, 2020 by HiWire 2
Dusty Chalk Posted June 29, 2020 Report Posted June 29, 2020 So that’s why my interest dropped off after San Francisco Days! By the way, thanks to a certain DJ on WHFS, I am one of those few people who heard Silvertone first. 1
HiWire Posted June 29, 2020 Report Posted June 29, 2020 (edited) Yes, and I always wondered why they didn't name the whole act the Silvertones. I've waited for years to see the show come out again, but at least it's available on YouTube in low res for now. I've never owned a Chris Isaak (or Hum) album... looking forward to catching up, though. Edited June 29, 2020 by HiWire 1
