mikeymad Posted December 19, 2019 Report Posted December 19, 2019 So we were clicking around the youtubes last night and Sonja was like - Greensleeves? What can they do with Greensleeves? um this... Merry Christmas... 2
Hopstretch Posted December 20, 2019 Author Report Posted December 20, 2019 (edited) The top YouTube comment is not too far off: "I feel like these people all met through their weed dealer." But I like it a lot. Edited December 20, 2019 by Hopstretch 1
Dusty Chalk Posted December 22, 2019 Report Posted December 22, 2019 I’m not a fan of the obvious autotuned vocals, but the underlying song itself is cool and this video is amazing. I would have thought it was digitally manipulated all to kingdom come—and it is—but the underlying performance is smooth as something really smooth. Respect. 1
TMoney Posted December 26, 2019 Report Posted December 26, 2019 Toss a coin to your Witcher! Sooooo catchy! 1

Hopstretch Posted December 30, 2019 Author Report Posted December 30, 2019 Liam Gallagher, absolute twat, but one does have to admire his continued commitment to what it says on the sign. 1

mikeymad Posted January 8, 2020 Report Posted January 8, 2020 I was fooled time and again by this... poor vid quality and recorded in what looks like a club. but whomever was recording the session, knew what they were doing, and Haley brings it. 3
HiWire Posted January 11, 2020 Report Posted January 11, 2020 (edited) Big in Germany – All German #1s of the 80s: Just as random from YouTube... a vocal critique of Elizabeth Fraser singing in Massive Attack's Teardrop (from Mezzanine) Edited January 11, 2020 by HiWire 3
mikeymad Posted January 12, 2020 Report Posted January 12, 2020 Modern Talking? hmmm And Nice to see that Ofra Haza was big there. 1
mikeymad Posted January 13, 2020 Report Posted January 13, 2020 ? because youtube recommendations from my watch history... thanks HiWire 1 1
HiWire Posted January 14, 2020 Report Posted January 14, 2020 After watching that list, I feel lucky that I escaped the '90s (mostly) intact... the horror. So much crap. ?OMG Whigfield amirite? I think the lesson here is that #1 hits are not necessarily the most beloved music, simply the most popular at some given time. I get a lot fewer warm fuzzies watching '90s videos, having lived through all of it. 1
Dusty Chalk Posted January 14, 2020 Report Posted January 14, 2020 I listened to a lot of crap in the 90s. (Barbie Girl is probably my biggest sin, although there are many others.) That said, I was pleased to see Vangelis there for 11 freakin’ weeks. My hero. 1
Hopstretch Posted January 16, 2020 Author Report Posted January 16, 2020 Too old to directly relate to this but I get sort of Joy Division vibes updated to now through dance music? 1
Dusty Chalk Posted January 16, 2020 Report Posted January 16, 2020 That’s actually pretty good synopsis. That said, I was laughing at her not with her when she said, “can I post that?” ...so I can’t relate to it neither. Unrelated (I doubt you’ll be able to relate to this one either) :
Hopstretch Posted January 18, 2020 Author Report Posted January 18, 2020 I could not. Can, on the other hand, totally relate to this. Neil Tennant can still write a melancholy tune. 1
Dusty Chalk Posted January 18, 2020 Report Posted January 18, 2020 Unrelated: Minor Victories have probably been posted before, but I am new to them. They’re one of those bands that don’t really have a best song, so I’m just posting one or two of them. They do have a best video, however.
skullguise Posted January 19, 2020 Report Posted January 19, 2020 Didn't think I would....but I really liked that!
