Dusty Chalk Posted December 17, 2018 Report Posted December 17, 2018 That’s a real band, by the way. ‘T’s’why I posted it here and not in slow forum. I hadn’t seen this before: 2

Dusty Chalk Posted December 20, 2018 Report Posted December 20, 2018 That was superb! Went back and looked up the original, too.
Hopstretch Posted December 24, 2018 Author Report Posted December 24, 2018 Goes so far through douchey it comes back around to quite enjoyable. 1
Dusty Chalk Posted December 24, 2018 Report Posted December 24, 2018 Having seen them live...can confirm. On both counts. But I think it’s largely bluster, because if you watch the Eagles of Death Metal movie, he’s actually a great guy.
Dusty Chalk Posted December 25, 2018 Report Posted December 25, 2018 Didn’t you share that before? Loved it then, love it now.
Hopstretch Posted December 25, 2018 Author Report Posted December 25, 2018 Honestly can't remember. He has a new collaborative album out and that's what broke it loose. 1
Dusty Chalk Posted December 25, 2018 Report Posted December 25, 2018 Yeah, I remember because I went down the rabbit hole of first watching his other videos (especially the other Live Plus Près De Toi videos) and then listening to whole albums on Tidal and liking all of it. Will check out the new album. I liked the video particularly much because it shows all the instruments in enough detail that if you had a fetish for them, you could get off on the close-ups. (I’m thinking of the Wurlitzer electric piano, Linn drum machine, and Roland string synthesizer, not just the two hot women. Alright, maybe not the synthesizer. I mean, who has a fetish for Rolands?) 1
Hopstretch Posted December 25, 2018 Author Report Posted December 25, 2018 This is pretty terrific too. (I have a backlog.) Think it's their goodbye to Gord Downie, who was a friend and collaborator. 1

Dusty Chalk Posted January 5, 2019 Report Posted January 5, 2019 When she hits those high notes with that pure voice, my heart expands. 2
Dusty Chalk Posted January 8, 2019 Report Posted January 8, 2019 (Keanu Reeves voice) Whoa! Your bizarre visuals are FREAKING ME OUT, MAN! Unrelated: It's like slow trap.
Hopstretch Posted January 10, 2019 Author Report Posted January 10, 2019 (edited) Love that they're still doing exactly what they've always done. Sort of naturally follows from earlier works? Edited January 10, 2019 by Hopstretch
