TMoney Posted August 29, 2023 Report Posted August 29, 2023 (edited) Why does this stupid track rock so hard? I have it stuck in my head. I guess it is Joe Cocker's backing group laying down the rhythm. Might have to find more of their stuff. I know people love to dunk on Andrew Lloyd Webber but damn the man has composed some catchy tunes. Edited August 29, 2023 by TMoney 3
TMoney Posted August 31, 2023 Report Posted August 31, 2023 I like this. A lot. Like I said in the other thread, they feel like indie-pop with a kiss of shoe-gaze. 4
skullguise Posted August 31, 2023 Report Posted August 31, 2023 ^^ I like their new album Blue Rev, and I have their debut as well. My son saw them (for the second time) about a week ago in Boston. He said they put on a great show. 2
Dusty Chalk Posted September 1, 2023 Report Posted September 1, 2023 My other favourite DJ played an all-shoegaze night the other night, and I was reminded how much I love shoegaze. Besides Slowdive, I'm also particularly fond of Life On Venus and Gleemer. 2
Dusty Chalk Posted September 1, 2023 Report Posted September 1, 2023 Unrelated: new Hiromi! I love the little headbobs. 2

Dusty Chalk Posted September 20, 2023 Report Posted September 20, 2023 It still cracks me up that a former AMERICAN IDOL finalist-- and a gorgeous one at that -- someone you would think would totally embrace all that is popular -- would so fully immerse herself into the world of prog. But GODDAMN, do they make great music. I am so excited for the forthcoming album. 2
Dusty Chalk Posted September 21, 2023 Report Posted September 21, 2023 I love this version. And the video, I just can't... 2
Hopstretch Posted September 27, 2023 Author Report Posted September 27, 2023 (edited) The man can certainly write a very catchy song. Which is presumably why he is doing so for Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey and Lorde. (Edit: Also St. Vincent, Florence and the Machine and the 1975. Huh, thanks Wikipedia.) mikeymad Posted September 27, 2023 Report Posted September 27, 2023 Just in case you are wondering what Sarah Jarosz sounds like using her full voice. 5
