acidbasement Posted December 20, 2016 Report Posted December 20, 2016 Ā Some buddies of mine from LA/San Diego. They're pretty great. 1
Dusty Chalk Posted December 21, 2016 Report Posted December 21, 2016 That was great! Ā I really like the ... folk? Ā Jiggy? Celtic? ... flavour they gave it. 1

Dusty Chalk Posted January 3, 2017 Report Posted January 3, 2017 A friend of mine described the lead singer as what would happen if Freddie Mercury and Anthony Kiedis had a child. Ā Plus, catch as fuck.
emelius Posted January 5, 2017 Report Posted January 5, 2017 heard D.A.F.(German American Friendship)'s front man perform their hit Der Mussolini on a local high school radio station's German rock hour...It was so catchy that I sought it out on youtube & found this gem... 1

Torpedo Posted January 14, 2017 Report Posted January 14, 2017 ^both are kind of disturbing, but I somewhat agree. The first one is sort of sad, she's a girl that for some reason seems to have lost her innocence. The girl in the Blind Faith cover still has the bland look of a kid despite the nudity and her incipient development. 4
bjarnetv Posted January 15, 2017 Report Posted January 15, 2017 as an average scandinavian, the first image feels really innocent, and reminds me of my own childhood, when everyone tried to look adult by smoking, hidden behind the school tribune (at age 12).

The first photo "Candy Cigarette" is of the American photographer Sally Mann's own children, which I think gives itĀ an added poignancy. To me, the subject seems to beĀ literally looking beyondĀ theĀ childhood her siblings are still happily caught up in, and only the mother among them knows what that means at that moment.Ā Mann caught a lot of flak for photographing her children nude and in emotionally raw situations, but the results are often truly beautiful in my opinion.
