screaming oranges Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 Oh man, Mexico played so much better! A shame to see them go out this way. So close... so close!
robm321 Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 I was going for Mexico. Sad to see them out but enjoyed the game.
Voltron Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 This is the most exciting World Cup that I can recall -- and I am not saying I watch them religiously but for me this one has a lot going on. 1

Leonardo Drummond Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 You proud, Al? Just kidding Everything's just upside down in this WC. I'm surprised it's not happening in Australia.
cutestory Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 Fuck, this tournament is giving me multiple fucking heart attacks every fucking day at this point. 1

agile_one Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 It has definitely been a wild ride with many twists and turns. Fun as hell to watch, unless you are invested in a team that comes up short in one of those twists and turns (Mexico). Huge day tomorrow for the U S of A.
TMoney Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 Just a wonderful job by this Algerian goal keeper. If they go on to win this he is my "man of the match."
Torpedo Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 What a match! The "small" teams are selling very expensive their defeats.
Voltron Posted July 1, 2014 Report Posted July 1, 2014 Missed both games due to work today, except for hearing the last 30 minutes where Germany won. Pretty amazing stuff.
morphsci Posted July 1, 2014 Author Report Posted July 1, 2014 What a game! If Neuer did not play sweeper, Germany would have lost that game. Definitely the man of the match IMO. Schurrle's goal was just incredible but if the pass was not behind him, my guess is the Algerian goalkeeper would have stopped it. Ozil's goal was pretty nice too and he needed that to build his confidence back up. Mertesacker absolutely sucked, not only slow but totally oblivious to what was happening in the game and Gotze looked like he was playing for Algeria given who he was passing to in the first half. Algeria played their hearts out and absolutely made a great showing. They played Germany much better than anyone else in the tournament.
