guzziguy Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 Great series. Hawks had a great season and have nothing to be shamed about. Too bad this series wasn't the final. It will be hard for the next series to live up to it. I hope it's as great though.
Aura Posted June 2, 2014 Author Report Posted June 2, 2014 Go NY. Hopefully we tired LA enough. I want to rant but I'm just going to bed now.
Wmcmanus Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 Ok Dinny, I can now cheer for the Rangers. Ditto.
Augsburger Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ You guys are now off my Christmas list. Bah!
Voltron Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 Fucking Kings had no lead in regulation but got the only lead that counted. Now it will be easy to root for the winning team in the finals. Rangers are going to smoke the Kings.
agile_one Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 It's a shame that series went 7+. Yeah, I can hear you crying way down here, Dinny. Condolences, Hawks fans ... we Bruins diehards feel your pain.
skullguise Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 From another forum, forgot I had a reason not to root for the Rangers. Still will probably root for them, but hope the series is just great hockey either way If you are unsure which team you should root for in the Stanley Cup Final, just know that one team winning means Ulf Samuelsson gets his name on the Cup again. Uncertainty over. Ulf was the Matt Cooke of his era.....dirty fuck helped end Cam Neely's career.
blubliss Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 Here we come NY! Monkey, I went to one Kings game 20 years ago, may I still call myself a fan (I almost feel like rooting for NY just to support your awesome fandom this season, but that is an almost...)
The Monkey Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 The more haters the better, this team only really performs when expectations are at their lowest, which makes for multiple heart attacks along the way and more temper tantrums and even more new and creative curse words combinations learned by Little Monkey. I don't have a good sense of what the fan base in LA is like. Are they devoted or fair weather fans?
Absorbine_Sr Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Go Rangers.
Augsburger Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 I don't have a good sense of what the fan base in LA is like. Are they devoted or fair weather fans? That's easy, we like the teams that are winning. Any other questions? 1
guzziguy Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 And we don't like NFL football. It's the second most boring televised sport.
Wmcmanus Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 And we don't like NFL football. It's the second most boring televised sport. The first must be golf or tennis or something like that... you can't seriously think that baseball is boring! Heck, you've even got Vin Scully in your neck of the woods! There couldn't be a more interesting sport, in my opinion, than our nation's passtime.
Wmcmanus Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 Are they devoted or fair weather fans? They're devoted to fair weather. Not so much to the Kings.
grawk Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 Al and Dinny will be relieved that I'm throwing my support behind the Kings. 1
guzziguy Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 The first must be golf or tennis or something like that... you can't seriously think that baseball is boring! Heck, you've even got Vin Scully in your neck of the woods! There couldn't be a more interesting sport, in my opinion, than our nation's passtime. I was thinking of darts. It's fun enough to do but terribly boring to watch. 1

Heck, you've even got Vin Scully in your neck of the woods! There couldn't be a more interesting sport, in my opinion, than our nation's passtime. Seriously? Guys standing around for most of three hours is interesting? (I kid).... I do love baseball though. You can fall asleep in the bottom of the second, wake up in the top of the eighth and still have an hour's worth of game to watch. 1
grawk Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 Baseball, the sport where the statistics about the game are more exciting than the game. 1
morphsci Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 Baseball on television, beyond boring. Baseball at the park, not boring.
Absorbine_Sr Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 Baseball on television, beyond boring. Baseball at the park, not boring. This I could agree with.
grawk Posted June 4, 2014 Report Posted June 4, 2014 If you've taken the time to study the statistics in advance, and you're drinking heavily.
skullguise Posted June 4, 2014 Report Posted June 4, 2014 Baseball on television, beyond boring.Baseball Drinking, behaving unruly, and enjoying others doing the same at the park, not boring. Fixed.....
morphsci Posted June 4, 2014 Report Posted June 4, 2014 If you've taken the time to study the statistics in advance, and you're drinking heavily. Statistics are my life and drinking is my religion. Next ... 1
