kevin gilmore Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 spoilers One of the writers Aaron Douglas specifically said that 4 of the 5 final cylons would be revealed in the seaon finale. spoilers
grawk Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 i hate to be pedantic, but it's a Dylan song watchtower is a hendrix song, even dylan admits that
deepak Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 pfft I could have called it a Dave Matthews song (like so many think it really is)
deepak Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 they did a version? Yeah. Can't remember which album but it was a really popular song, got quite a bit of radio play.
postjack Posted March 27, 2007 Author Report Posted March 27, 2007 actually phish and widespread panic wrote it, i tink. it was about desert storm in the early 90s.
deepak Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 well, that would be why i didn't know about it, i only listen to BBC, NPR and PRI This was many, many years ago in my high school days
grawk Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 songfacts.com While Bob Dylan did the original version of the song, it wasn't as popular until remade by Jimi Hendrix. Dylan liked Hendrix' version so much, he began playing the Hendrix version instead of his own. Jimi Hendrix had replaced the harmonica parts with guitar, and sped up the song.
grawk Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 This was many, many years ago in my high school days last month?
deepak Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 last month? Sure...if they're still playing that song...
saint.panda Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 spoiler Is Kara the 5th Cylon? Otherwise I don't know how she could have survived the crash. I thought the trial was amazing, really great stuff. The relevation of the 4 Cylons was a bit lackluster and Kara's return was cheesy. I want more space fights for the next season! spoiler
postjack Posted March 29, 2007 Author Report Posted March 29, 2007 panda, thats a good point about the 5th cylon, for some reason my mind didn't even think of that. All I know is there are a whole lot of holes that need to be filled in the next season. And yes, we must have more space fights.
deepak Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 Is anyone else going to rewatch season 1 and 2 before the summer movie? SPOILER 5th cylon prediction - Laura Roslyn SPOILER
postjack Posted April 6, 2007 Author Report Posted April 6, 2007 Wait, there's going to be a movie? I just watched seasons 1 and 2 this past Fall so I doubt I'll rewatch them.
deepak Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 Wait, there's going to be a movie? I just watched seasons 1 and 2 this past Fall so I doubt I'll rewatch them. Yeah the reason they're starting in 2008 is because there is a summer movie. Either straight to TV or straight to DVD. I watched the first two seasons as they aired, so I'm really fuzzy on details, I guess that's why I'm going to watch the DVDs
postjack Posted April 6, 2007 Author Report Posted April 6, 2007 Yeah the reason they're starting in 2008 is because there is a summer movie. Either straight to TV or straight to DVD. MY SHIT GET LUOD YALL
deepak Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 Hope it's DVD too, in which case there is a good chance they'll release a high res version at the same time
thrice Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 Spoilers below I'm less likely to beleive that Laura Roslyn is a Cylon...I think it's either Admiral Adama or Starbuck. Most, (if not all) of the 4 revealed in the season finale have had vivid flashbacks. The only two that really didnt' were Anders and the president's assistant chick. I don't think it's Roslyn because she's in the dream with Caprica and Athena, but not as the 5 more as a witness. Spoiler Alert!
postjack Posted April 13, 2007 Author Report Posted April 13, 2007 SPOILER ALERT! I would like to think it is Odama. Remember oh so many episodes ago, in season 1, when that Cylon, the model that in season 2 tried to make starbuck fall in love with him, grabbed laura right before she through him in the airlock and said "odama's a cylon"? That was always explained away as just more cylon lies. but then again how the hell could he know when the other cylons don't know who the other 5 are? anyway, could just be there to prove cylons lie, or it could be a plot line that went nowhere. SPOILER ALERT!
deepak Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 SPOILERS I think Adama is just too big a character to be a cylon at this point. I think cylon Leoban was a lieing piece of shit, he was out to deceive everyone including Adama in part two of the mini series. THAR BE SPOILERS ABOVE THIS
tkam Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Shame, season 4 will be the last season... http://www.darkhorizons.com/news07/070511c.php
postjack Posted May 11, 2007 Author Report Posted May 11, 2007 Shame, season 4 will be the last season... http://www.darkhorizons.com/news07/070511c.php It is a shame, but in a way I'm pleased, since now they'll be able to go out with a bang and wrap up the story nicely without dragging it out.
thrice Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 I agree, all too often US TV shows keep going for as long a they can, look at the X-files...that show lasted 3 seasons too long. I love the UK version of the Office, because they knew when to quit...it left you wanting a little more, but satisified with what you got. Lost is another example....they're going to milk it for as long as they can, until we're annoyed and the show quality drops. So seeing Battlestar Galactica go out on a bang instead of junmping the shark makes me happy...I wish more shows did this. Come up with a great idea, let it run its course and the move on to the next great idea.
n_maher Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 All right, I give up, I'm going to start watching this show. I've got Season 1 ready to go and Season 2 should be, uh, arriving in a few hours so I've got a question - do I need to watch anything in preparation for the first episode? Was there a movie, pilot or otherwise? The reason I ask is that I watched just the first minute or two of '33', which is Season 1 Episode 1 and it very much has a "previously seen on..." vibe to it. Cripes, like I needed another show to watch.
thrice Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 Well there is the 1970's version of the show There was a 4 part mini-series on Sci-Fi channel that is the beginning of the story. It cna be purchsed on iTunes, rented via Netflix and I'm sure stolen via the interwebs. The episodes at 1.5 hrs and .5 hours long alternating. Cheers, Stephen PS....this show rules the toolz with laserz and phaserz
