spritzer Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 It is coming and the price is insane. They turn 70 in May so it's time for a celebration. There will also be a new dynamic at some point, more high end than the HD800

spritzer Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 Nothing like that had been decided last I heard. They are being awefully cryptic with this whole thing
RudeWolf Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 Here's hoping for a HD800 sale surge.
guzziguy Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 There will also be a new dynamic at some point, more high end than the HD800 I hope that it sounds at least as good as the HD800.
Dave R Posted January 1, 2015 Report Posted January 1, 2015 I hope that it sounds at least as good as the HD800. But look like the HE-90 IMO.
Tyll Hertsens Posted January 1, 2015 Report Posted January 1, 2015 I got the embargoed press releases and didn't see any high-end stuff. Axel Grell will be at CES...so there's that. Who knows?
purk Posted January 8, 2015 Report Posted January 8, 2015 $2499 from Moon-audio http://www.moon-audio.com/hifiman-he-1000.html 32 ohm efficiency according to one of youtube covering the released.
spritzer Posted January 8, 2015 Report Posted January 8, 2015 Looking at the picks on Moon Audio.... this is one fugly set of headphones. Seriously, did Ray design this pile of fail?
luvdunhill Posted January 8, 2015 Report Posted January 8, 2015 At least it isn't made out of balsa wood?
spritzer Posted January 8, 2015 Report Posted January 8, 2015 Indeed... perhaps it's time to post some pics of the last flagship?

jib Posted April 29, 2015 Report Posted April 29, 2015 Just put my pre order in on the he1k and just joined here and it does not look like there is allot of love going on. I have 30 days to return it though so I'm not too worried. Is the sr-009 any easier to drive than the 007mk2? I thought it would be more difficult to drive but from what I have read it looks like it might be easier to drive. Thinking about making the sr-009 move after the he-1k if I'm not pleased with the sound, but I only have a 727ii and the 007mk2 was maxed out big time on it and a woo ges. My audio stand is a fairly small salamander stand and not much more room for a bigger stand so the 727ii is about as large as I can go amp wise.
HeadphoneAddict Posted April 29, 2015 Report Posted April 29, 2015 SR-009 is easier to drive, and I only liked the 007 on my KGBH amp. But some amps make the 009 sound too bright (KGSS, SRM-1 Mk2 Pro). I think the SRM-T1 and SRM-717 sounded good with the 009, as did my KGBH, but I don't know about a 727ii.
spritzer Posted April 29, 2015 Report Posted April 29, 2015 The 009 isn't any easier to drive, it's just slightly more sensitive.

I wonder how great will the HE1k be.

Mjolnir Audio KGSSHV Mini meets your size requirements and kicks ass over any modern Stax amps. 3
spritzer Posted April 29, 2015 Report Posted April 29, 2015 Yup, a bit smaller than the 727. Just finished a couple of them...
jib Posted April 30, 2015 Report Posted April 30, 2015 I need rca outs. 727ii has parallel rca outs. XLR in is fine.
