This might be one of those urban legends, but I read somewhere the non-black vinyl is made from virgin raw material since it's colored, whereas a lot of plants pressing black vinyl are using recycled material. So the colored vinyl in some cases will sound better. also in my experience, clear vinyl sounds badass.
